As i and many other speakers last night talked about this, this country is facing a tremendous challenge in which a small group whose hands remain firmly on levers of institutional, economic and political power, and if you like the rules and the laws to maintain that policy, despite, really, a lack of real popular support, this manipulation of and sometimes outright disregard for the rule of law will have serious consequences unless we respond. You have to call it out for what it is. And we seek to shore up and reform and in some cases, transform our political, legal, and economic institutions.
