Was the plea deal that was agreed to on monday. And just a short time ago the judge approved the terms of that deal. Lets take a look at the details here. 12 months, thats the sentence. And former Fairfax Police officer adam torres has already been behind bars for about ten months now. And hes going to get credit for that time already served. So he will be free very soon, were told. Now, under the deal torres pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter, thats a lesser charge. He had been facing seconddegree murder. Now, the victim, john gere, unarmed involved with a confrontation with police on the doorstep of his springfield home in 2013 following a domestic call to police.
