You can learn more about why that is and more about the river itself through a virtual tour from the St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD). The virtual journey of the St. Johns is part of a multimedia series exploring the sights, sounds, and history of the St. Johns River as well the science-based work the District carries out to protect and restore the waterway.
