On Monday afternoon, Rutherford County Fire & Rescue and the Almaville Fire Department responded to the area of Baker Road after receiving reports of a home on fire. The first crews arrived on the scene to find flames coming through the roof along with a large amount of smoke.
Firefighters applied water and searched the house for victims, but no one was found inside the home. While firemen were able to extinguish the blaze, the house received severe damage.

RUTHERFORD CO., Tenn. (WTVF) â A family of six is currently displaced after a house fire in the Murfreesboro area Friday night.
Rutherford County Fire Rescue, along with crews from the Sheriff s Office, Emergency Medical Services and Almaville Fire Department, responded to Valley Bend Road around 10:30 p.m.
They were able to extinguish the fire, though extensive damage had already been done.
Assistant Fire Marshal Joshua Sanders says the fire appears to be accidental.
Four of the six residents were home when the fire started. They sustained minor injuries, including some smoke inhalation and singed hair.
