Killed. The man was walking on international boulevard and one of the cars struck him. The impact took out a metal phelps and this car came to rest in the parking lot of a walgreens store. The crash happened just before 1 00 near the intersection of 82nd avenue and international boulevard. The driver of a black Dodge Charger veered off the road, striking the 49yearold man who was pronounced dead here at the scene. The driver of that charger got out of the car and ran away after the crash. Investigators say that driver was likely racing another driver who was behind the wheel of a maroon bmw 320. The bmw continued to drive for several more blocks and they eventually found it abandoned on international boulevard. Police are searching for both drivers involved and asking for anyone who witnessed the deadly crash to come forward. Someone may have seen something. 38,000 people had to be evacuated. The wind is pushing the flames west towards more neighborhoods. Fire Officials Say no deaths or serious injuries have been reported. They do say that fire may keep burning for several days. We are also talking about 55 miles away in los angeles county, the creek fire is threatening hundreds of homes. It has already burned 17 square miles and it destroyed at least 30 homes in the northern San Fernando Valley. Two firefighters have been hurt while battling the flames in los angeles. More than 100,000 people have been ordered to evacuate. 12 miles north of the creek fire the arrive fire is threatening 1300 homes. Look at these pictures.
