Public Health Officials Urge L.A. County Businesses To Comply With COVID-19 Guidelines
Los Angeles County Health officials are urging local businesses Tuesday to be compliant with COVID-19 precautions essential to slowing the spread of the virus.
The risk of acquiring and spreading COVID-19 continues to be elevated in L.A. County. Businesses and employers play a key role in preventing and slowing the spread of COVID-19 within the workplace and community, according to the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LADPH).
All employers and businesses must follow Health Officer Orders and Public Health protocols that are in place to prevent unnecessary spread.
Holiday Season COVID-19 Surge Being Felt In Los Angeles County
The holiday season COVID-19 surge is being felt in Los Angeles County, about two weeks after residents gathered for Christmas and New Year’s, with public health officials calling it “the worst disaster our county has experienced for decades”
Supervisor Hilda Solis spoke during a press conference Monday providing updates on COVID-19 cases, the vaccine distribution and the continued impact on the county’s hospital system.
“Hospitals are on the brink of triaging care, which means decisions will have to be made on who could receive access to scarce resources such as ventilators, respiratory therapists and critical care nurses. The situation is more dire than ever before,” Solis said.
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LADPH) reported 344 new coronavirus cases in the Santa Clarita Valley Sunday, included in the 14,482 new cases county-wide.
Officials reported Saturday that over 900,000 cumulative cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Los Angeles, more than 100,000 of which have come from.
