Nearly 30,000 COVID-19 Cases Reported In L.A. County After Service Delay
Nearly 30,000 new COVID-19 cases, along with over 130 new COVID-19 deaths were reported in Los Angeles County Saturday after a service interruption prevented health officials from reporting numbers the day before.
An additional 29,464 coronavirus cases were reported in Los Angeles County on Saturday, along with 136 deaths, according to officials with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LADPH).
A breakdown shows that 13,185 cases come from Saturday and 15,538 cases from Friday, along with 131 deaths from Friday and five deaths reported Saturday.
The larger numbers are due in part to a service outage that the LADPH experienced Friday, resulting in officials reporting two days-worth of new COVID-19 cases and deaths on Saturday.
