Unfortunately from where im sitting on the plane right now, i cant see the terminal. We landed about a half hour ago and almost immediately after we came to a stop, the pilot made an announcement that we would be stuck on the tarmac for awhile because of a suspicious unattended bag inside one of the terminals and than evacuation was in order. So i really cant see the terminals from where im sitting, but weve been stuck here for about a half hour. Okay. Let me tell you what were seeing from the outside. We know all the folks have been moved out of terminal b and moved to in term signal a. You know what this looks like. It happened not too long ago where construction crews tripped up a fire alarm and folks had to evacuate.
To the freeway. Apparently what happened was people came up to the loading dock and tried to rob the ups driver. A ups driver was the target of this whole thing. In the process, somebody apparently was pistolwhipped. When they got pistolwhipped, they were taken to the hospital. The police descended along here with guns drawn. Not sure if the people had left or not. Apparently they left. They are currently looking for a white van that has the people who perpetrated this. This is what the police had to say. Reporter at approximately 9 54 am we received a report of an Armed Robbery which occurred in the area of the nordstroms loading dock involving a ups truck and an unidentified on the subject. The subject was subsequently seen getting into a van and leaving the area after the Armed Robbery occurred. At this time we are collecting evidence and processing the scene. Robbing a ups truck here at one of the shopping malls is very rare. Just before 10 00 this point the central moran Police Authority was notified of a strongarmed Armed Robbery at the village in corte madera. It occurred in the area of the nordstroms loading dock involving a ups truck and an unidentified subject. Reporter chp and police units descended on the scene, many holding semiautomatic rifles at the ready as the search went on until well after 11 00. Anytime someone pulls a gun there risking their life 20 police response. The customers have yet to be let into the store and although it happened at the loading dock , police evacuated employees from the store out of an abundance of caution.
