âShadow & Boneâ is a testament to the meteoric rise of the fantasy genre
There was a time when offerings in the fantasy genre were few and far between. Nonetheless, we remained hooked to shows like âTrue Bloodâ, âThe Originalsâ, âAmerican Godsâ, âThe Magiciansâ, âThe Outsiderâ, âOutlanderâ and more as they arrived on the small screen.
David Benioff and D. B. Weissâs âGame of Thronesâ, based on the series of fantasy novels by George R. R. Martin, certainly propelled the genre by becoming a cult classic.
The award-winning medieval series - I will not revisit that anti-climatic ending that remains a sore point - left fans giddy with anticipation as to who will finally rule the seven kingdoms.
19 Feb 2021 : Nathan Griffin Fate: The Winx Saga Netflix has renewed Fate: The Winx Saga for season two with production set to begin later this year in Ireland.
The first season filmed across several locations in Ireland with Kilruddery House in Bray acting as Alfea College, Powerscourt, Co.Wicklow being home to the Circle of Stones, interiors being shot in Ardmore Studios, and additional scenes taking place across Dublin.
The cast is set to reprise their roles include Abigail Cowen as Bloom, Hannah van der Westhuysen as Stella, Precious Mustapha as Aisha, Eliot Salt as Terra, and Elisha Applebaum as Musa with additional casting news to be announced at a later date.

The Winx Saga has become a very popular new Netflix series and it was only right the streaming service graced us with another season! For those of us who are still yet to dive deep into this mash-up of Harry Potter meets Riverdale, the series is based on the Nickelodeon cartoon Winx Club. It follows Abigail Bloom, (played by Abigail Cowen) a Californian teenager who after a devastating accident, learns she is in fact a fairy!
In order to learn how to harness her power, Bloom moves to a magical boarding school in the ‘Otherworld’ where she not only has to come to terms with her newfound powers but must also combat against monsters who threaten their very existence and of course they couldn’t leave out the dangerous charm of some cute boys.
