london. good morning, mark. good morning. soon after a crash, the numbers of dead and for that matter survives are always changing but it appears there were a number of people who lived through this crash. there had been, as you say, 152 people on board. reporter: the plane on a flight from karachi to islamabad crashed as it was apparently trying to land. pakistan is now in the monsoon season. when heavy rains and dense cloud move up from the indian ocean and the weather was terrible. some other flights have reportedly been canceled over the past few days, but it is much too early to conclude what caused this crash. the terrain around the airport is densely forested hills and valleys making access to the crash site extremely difficult. the plane was an airbus 321 and the flight is a regular commuter run between pakistan s largest city and its capital and was operated by the private airblue airline. while there have been safety issues with pakistan s aviation industry airb

this morning. pepco says they have brought in crews working around the clock, to get all of the power on for people without power this morning one thing i want to point out a lot of people had confusion when they were calling pepco to report the outages and they said they were not going to have power until august. that s not the case. that was an error with the pepco voice messaging system. it is not going to be that long but it is going to be at least several days before power is back on. a lot of power outages and signal disruptions due to power outages, downed trees, a lot of debris in this roadway, bottom line, you want extra time as you make your way in to work. back to you, jessica. you are on the roadway and seeing what is going on with the lights out and debris in the roadway. are you seeing any traffic are problems result of that this morning? not yet. it is still early. 4:30 a.m. not a ton of traffic on the roadway yet. there we go. we have some sirens behind us
