Now as well as they continue their investigation. A man was killed inside that firebird and a 10yearold girl alive in the backseat. Heres video from the scene, in front of a Major Construction work site. Police say the driver of the big rig turned left at 7 40 this morning and thats when the firebird slammed into the bed of the semi. A witness told us he jumped in to help the 10yearold girl in the fire bird. She was distraught, bloody, flung over the seats saying my daddys dead. I calmed her down, breathe deep, slow, im calling it in. We just informed her condition and injuries are nonlife threatening. She will be fine. Just a little shaken up. Reporter that same witness you heard from, don baker, said flaggers were directing traffic at the site. The sun was facing eastbound traffic. The truck driver is cooperating with the investigation.
