Live in San Francisco, anne makevoc, kpix 5. Its been two weeks since the devastating floods in san jose. And now many residents are asking city and Water Districts why they didnt do more to warn them. Kpix 5s maria medina is live to tell us whats happening in a special session said. Maria . Reporter good morning, michelle. Two weeks ago, this neighborhood was flooded and you can see behind me just how much debris is left behind. Later today, City Council Members plan to hold a special session to talk about how they prepared and then responded to the flooding of coyote creek. Now, many of the victims blame city and Water District leaders for not warning them until it was too late. We saw hundreds rescued by boat two weeks ago and they are still trying to find out why the creek overflowed when they said it was able to handle the amount of rain we got. Remember, there was a project to make sure coyote creek would not flood. But it stalled and many are asked those responsible some tough questions, especially after the Water District spent 25,000 to hire a Pr Consultant according to the mercury news. I have concerns when the Water District hires a very expensive Pr Consultant. Right now, we dont need more Pr Consultants for spin. And to place the blame on others or to point fingers. We need facts. We need questions to be answered so this never happens again. 14,000 people were put under mandatory evacuations, dozens still remain in shelters.
