FROM THE SIDELINES: 12U basketball tournament brings shining moments

I rolled up to Albertville High about an hour before game time March 12. As a senior citizen, a ripe old 66, it was a no-brainer where I was heading first. Nope, it wasn’t the gym. I had to find a restroom after my hour’s drive from Huntsville. That mission completed. I drove around the school and found a parking spot in front of the gymnasium. The games were already underway for the state 12-and-under basketball tournament March 12-14. The Redstone team had a great start in pool play with a 44-12 win over Hamilton. But the next day proved disappointing.

PARA says agencies are eligible to receive the Agency of the Year award once in a five-year period and PARA was recognized with it previously in 2015.
