First of all, making your mask hero a genocidal killer probably isn’t the best idea. He killed kids, used the force to choke people, blew up a planet, and chopped off his son’s hand – and those are just some of the many evils he perpetrated. But hey, I guess he did manage to end the climate crisis on Alderaan, that planet he blew up.

(WAFF) - Alabama State Health Officer Dr. Scott Harris announced Friday when the state will move to the next vaccination phase. On March 22, those in the Phase 1C category, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and all people ages 55 and up will be eligible to get the COVID-19 vaccine. “We have been concerned that many people at high risk and others engaged in close contact work have not been eligible to receive the vaccine yet, but with the additional vaccine supply we are better able to meet the needs of Alabama residents,” Governor Ivey said in a Friday press release.

Alabama COVID-19 hospitalizations stay below 900 for third day

For the third consecutive day, fewer than 900 confirmed COVID-19 hospitalizations were reported across Alabama. On Monday, 862 confirmed COVID-19 hospitalizations were reported, according to data published by Bama Tracker. Saturday and Sunday also had fewer than 900 reported COVID-19 hospitalizations. This compares to the 949 COVID-19 hospitalizations reported on Friday. DCH Health System in Tuscaloosa had 41 COVID-19 inpatients on Monday, with seven patients being treated in the ICU. This is a drastic decline of COVID-19 inpatients compared to the beginning of the month, when the health system had 114 COVID-19 inpatients with 29 being treated in the ICU on Feb. 1. The East Alabama Medical Center in Auburn/Opelika reported Monday afternoon that over the weekend it reached a new post-third-peak low with 26 inpatients each Saturday and Sunday, which is the lowest since Nov. 7. On Monday, the medical center reported having 28 COVID-19 inpatients.
