Four realtors sell same property two persons, booked | Vadodara News

Vadodara: Four partners of a real estate firm were booked on Tuesday for selling a residential property on Ajwa Road to two different persons. The first buyer Devang Thakar, who is an engineering professor in Patan, lodged a complaint against Mahesh Patel, Kalpesh Patel, Hitesh Patel and Ghanshyam Patel when he learnt that they had sold the duplex to a man named Ishwar Bariya in January 2018. Thakar told police that when he decided to purchase the house in June 2013, he paid a token amount of Rs 1 lakh. A bill of sale between Thakar and the developers was registered. Later, when a loan was approved Thakar paid Rs 25 lakh to them in different amounts until October 2017.

Picture used for representational purpose only Vadodara: An infant’s body was found under a heap of sand at the construction site of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) on Ajwa Road on Tuesday morning. The construction labourers found the body when they started picking up sand on the third floor of the building. The site supervisor informed police about it and the body was sent for post-mortem to SSG Hospital. “The labourers said that there was nothing at the spot when the sand was unloaded on the previous evening. It was during the night that somebody hid the body since nobody stays there,” said inspector V P Chauhan of Bapod police station.

Loan recovery agent thrashed by colleagues | Vadodara News

VADODARA: People in the sales business push themselves and their colleagues hard to overachieve their targets. However, a manager of a loan recovery agency went a step further when an agent under him could not achieve his target. The recovery agency’s manager identified as Deepesh Singre and his two friends thrashed the collection agent named Jitendra Chhugani on Friday. Chhugani, a resident of Ajwa Road, was sent to collect an outstanding loan amount from a customer in Chhani. When Chhugani reached Chhani, the customer was not available so he called Singre to inform him about it. Chhugani was asked to wait in Chhani but he went to Fatehgunj and waited there.

Representative image VADODARA: The detection of crime branch (DCB) on Sunday arrested three men who helped people make forged income certificates to get benefits of Mukhyamantri Amrutam Vatsalya (MAV) scheme. The mastermind of the racket is on the run. Those arrested were Manoj Kumar Soni, a resident of Panigate Road, Naresh Dalwadi of Fatehpura and Jitendra Chawda, who lives on New Sama Road. “They used to help people in getting forged income certificates and charge anywhere between Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,000 per certificate,” said Jaydeepsinh Jadeja, DCP (crime). Jadeja said the name of a man identified as Praveen Rabari has surfaced during the investigations. He used to make the certificates and give them to people through these agents. “Rabari is on the run,” Jadeja told TOI. The crime branch had on Saturday booked seven middlemen for forging income certificates of 35 persons to help them get benefits under MAV scheme.
