Vadodara: While surfing Instagram stories, 26-year-old Pinkesh Parmar had seen a short video of a jewellery shop being looted in some city of the country.
Taking a cue from the video, Parmar had executed a robbery in a jewellery showroom in the Khodiyarnagar area of the city on Wednesday. The crime branch sleuths arrested Parmar and his three accomplices late on Wednesday night and recovered the three robbed gold chains too. Pinkesh told he police that his three accomplices were under debt and hence they decided to rob Vallabh Darshan Jewellery shop that is located on the ground floor of Shreeji Plaza. “We scanned the CCTV footage of the incident and noticed that the customer sitting inside didn’t give react at all when Pinkesh entered the shop and robbed the gold chains. We grilled him for some time and he spilled the beans,” said Jaydeepsinh Jadeja, DCP (crime).

Vadodara: One of the biggest rackets selling remdesivir injections in black was busted by sleuths of the crime branch who not only arrested five men from the city, but also seized 90 vials of the life saving injection.
Investigating officials suspect that the racket may have many more persons involved in it. “It was an organized racket wherein the accused used to source remdesivir injections and sell them for Rs 15,000 to Rs 25,000 apiece. The crime branch had received a tip-off on the basis of which we first nabbed an agent who led us to the other four accused,” said Shamsher Singh, city police commissioner.

Gandhinagar, April 28 : A Remdesivir injection black market ring was busted in Gujarat s Vadodara by the Crime Branch with the arrest of five persons and the seizure of 90 vials of the anti-Covid drug valued at Rs 5 lakh, police said.
Based on the inputs, DCP Jaydeepsinh Jadeja kept a watch at a place near Subhanpura Nutan Vidyalaya where the delivery of Remdesivir injections was to be made and arrested Rushi Pradeepbhai Jeth with 17 vials.
Based on information from his interrogation, police arrested Vikas Laxmanbhai Patel, Pratik Narendrabhai Panchal, Manan Rajeshbhai Shah, and Jatin Patel, the owner of Jaynam Pharma agency. Police also seized a total of Rs. 7.6 lakh worth goods from the arrested.
