Nigeria’s first minister of Aviation, Chief Mbazulike Amaechi, has asked the President Muhammadu Buhari-led government to let the Igbo go if they are no longer wanted in the country.
Amaechi, however, said he believes in one Nigeria and would like it to remain but not under current condition.
He decried the poor state of the country, saying that Nigeria has to start all over again.
The former minister and foremost nationalist spoke at a zoom meeting organized by Dele Momodu of the Ovation Magazine and Mazi Ezeoke, on Thursday.
He said that Nigeria has derailed from the original plan of the founding fathers, insisting that there is need for a new constitution where every Nigerian will be involved to speak what they want.

Tragedy struck in Asu village, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area, Ogun State, on Wednesday when an operational vehicle of the operatives of the Nigeria Customs Service crushed a motorcyclist, Juwon Mumuni, to death.
Our correspondent gathered that the operatives of the Federal Operating Unit of NCS were involved in the fatal incident.
It was gathered that the men of the FOU were chasing some suspected rice smugglers when their vehicle crushed the 35-year-old Mumuni, a lotto operator.
A lawyer, Ganiyu kusanwo, who spoke with our correspondent on behalf of the deceased’s family, said, “Juwon was going to the main road on his motorcycle, which he uses as another source of income.

PREMIUM TIMES learnt that the incident occurred in Asu village, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of the state.
Mr Mumuni was killed by an operational vehicle of the operatives of the NCS while they were chasing some suspected rice smugglers.
Sources who witnessed the incident told our correspondent that the deceased was standing at Asu village junction before the custom vehicle lost control, crushing him.

At least, one person has been confirmed dead following a clash between officers of Nigeria Customs Services and some rice smugglers in Oke Ola area of Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government area of Ogun State on Saturday.
Vanguard learnt that trouble started when Customs officers stormed a hideout where the imported rice were stored, shooting into the air to scare the smugglers.
Armed too, the smugglers were said to have engaged the officers in a gun battle that led to the killing of an innocent boy who was playing football with his colleagues at the Local Government Primary School, Oke-Ola, Ilaro.

No fewer than three persons were said to have been killed during a clash between some suspected smugglers and operatives of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Ogun State Command.
The incident, it was gathered, happened on Tuesday at Kikelomo, Ayetoro, the headquarters of Yewa North Local Government area of Ogun.
There were reports that men of the NCS had invaded the area on the trail of some suspected smugglers.
“In their attempt to evacuate bags of smuggled rice from a building, there ensued a clash between the customs officers and the owners of the items.
“In order to scare away the suspected smugglers, the NCS operatives were said to have fired gunshots intermittently.
