Vroom Vroom] transgressed something that critics weren’t ready for, as though it wasn’t the move someone in Charli’s position was ‘supposed’ to make.”

Vroom Vroom, Charli persisted with the sound. “I felt like I finally found someone who could articulate my ideas sonically,” she told
Vogueabout working with SOPHIE. She further elaborated on the chemistry in the project: “Sometimes we get aggressive, sometimes we get beautiful.”

Charli XCX has paid tribute to SOPHIE, following the DJ and producerâs death this weekend (January 30).
SOPHIE worked with XCX on many of her projects, beginning in 2015 with the latterâs âVroom Vroomâ EP. They went on to work together on the singles âAfter The Afterpartyâ, âNo Angelâ, and âGirls Night Outâ, âNumber 1 Angelâ tracks âRoll With Meâ and âLipglossâ, and âPop 2â track âOut Of My Headâ.
