Rolling Stone John Lennon Estate Releases Early Demo Video of ‘Give Peace a Chance’

The John Lennon Estate has released a never-before-seen video of John Lennon and Yoko Ono rehearsing “Give Peace a Chance,” just days before they premiered the song in May of 1969.
The video was recorded by cameraman Nic Knowland and sound recordist Mike Lax and shows Lennon and Ono running through an ad-libbed demo version of the song in their room at the Sheraton Oceanus Hotel in the Bahamas. Dated May 25th, 1969, the video is the earliest known recording of “Give Peace a Chance,” and was filmed just days before Lennon and Ono premiered the song for the world during their famous Bed-in for Peace at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal on May 31st.

Iron Maiden have announced that front-man Bruce Dickinson will be hosting an online listening party next week for the band’s 1984 classic, “Powerslave” album.
Set to stream live on February 12th at 4 PM EST, the record will be the focus of the upcoming 666th instalment of The Charlatans singer Tim Burgess’ Tim’s Twitter Listening Party, with Dickinson providing details of the record alongside a track-by-track rundown.

SOPHIE worked with XCX on many of her projects, beginning in 2015 with the latterâs âVroom Vroomâ EP. They went on to work together on the singles âAfter The Afterpartyâ, âNo Angelâ, and âGirls Night Outâ, âNumber 1 Angelâ tracks âRoll With Meâ and âLipglossâ, and âPop 2â track âOut Of My Headâ.
