The loan was needed after a change in operation resulted in a lengthy recertification process with Medicare and other insurance providers that prevented the ambulance service from fully collecting payments.
The county’s policy cites the Iowa Smoke Free Air Act to identify the products that are restricted on county premises and that piece of legislation does not include vapor products.
No one from the public had any questions concerning the plan, which the Southeast Iowa Regional Planning Commission researched and wrote over the past couple of years. The Louisa County Planning and Zoning Commission approved a recommendation to accept the plan at its June 9 meeting.
