The A-C Central School District is looking for a new superintendent. According to the Journal-Courier, Tim Page submitted his letter of resignation to the A-C Central School Board last week. Page, who has been with A-C Central for 8 years, told the board that he had accepted the superintendent position at the Elwood School District near Joliet.
Page told the Journal-Courier that it was a family decision because his daughter graduates this year and it was time for a change. The district has posted the job seeking internal applicants before an external hiring process will begin.

ASHLAND A-C Central School District’s board is exploring installing solar panels on the roofs of district buildings to help lower utility costs.
While the board was supposed to hear proposals this month, the presentations were postponed until the board’s January meeting, when the board will hear proposals from three companies that responded to the district’s request for information.
“We asked to see what it would look like if we were to put solar panels on our buildings,” Superintendent Tim Page said. “This is something we’ve looked at before, but it’s been a few years.”
