Absa bank rolls out contactless payment solution for convenience and safety

Absa Bank has initiated a contactless payment solution with the launch of a new vertical card, with an aim of enhancing their customer experience.
The new solution enables customers to enjoy a fast, easy and secure way to pay for goods and services by tapping their Absa Cards on a point of sale (POS) machine, after which the transaction is completed. This solution also allows for quick check out at retail outlets such as fuel stations, supermarkets and restaurants among others.

Absa Bank has said it will invest more than Sh1.6 billion in technology to enhance service delivery.
Speaking during a media briefing at the bank’s Queensway branch in Nairobi yesterday, Absa Managing Director Jeremy Awori said delivering a differentiated customer experience remains at the core of the bank’s growth, transformation and returns strategy.
“In the next year, we will be rolling out over 60 different technology projects, all aimed at transforming our customer experience,” said Awori.
