come in front of you again in about seven months at the end of our fiscal year. this is actually prepared by habe ham same nons who was the abraham simmons. i m merely presenting it today. the first thing obviously is to explain what we do. we review and oversee the delivery of the general obligation bond program. and then in 2003 was added to our perview, also the city services audit and overseeing that and the whistle blower program underneath that. what we re going to do today is look first at the bonds and then we re going to look at the other pieces of what it is that we do. so just the major bonds. the first bond i want to bring your attention to is the laguna honda hospital. that started in originally authorized $299 million, and has finally has a completion cost of $585 million. obviously our purr view our perview is to try to make it on time and on scope. things didn t go particularly well with this one. it did start prior. but we did learn a lot of lessons from

to this nation which is the greatest nation in the world. thank you. i m a district aid voter and not worry about which one of you becomes mayor or what color you are. i have two issues about this mayoral succession. first, gay genocide. in case you haven t noticed, there is a mounting global consensus for gay genocide. expressed in a u.n. general assembly resolution on november 15, which removed lgbt people from the list of populations in need of special protection or rather equal protection from extra judicial, arbitrary, and summary execution. most of the declarations of policy and resolutions and so forth that you pass here have no teeth and are meaningless. but this is harvey milk s town. this is a town where let s face it, it is politically indefensible, the political cost is too high, to oppose lgbt rights. if you speak to this, the world is going to hear. i want a mayor who will do that. second, i want to mayor who will change the terms of the conversation here. all
in peril. at this point in time in our history, we need those kinds of leaders who are willing to stand up for san francisco values, stand up for what built this great country, the labor movement, immigrant rights movement, women, and the very the various constituents that represent all of us and all of our endeavors. for all of those reasons, i hope that you take the make the decision today and stand in support of david campos but i also urge that you take whatever action is necessary to schedule sufficient meet togs get the job done. when the job needs to get done and very proud of my recommendation and work that s been done by david campos and all of you. each and every day. but at this time, hope that he s these thoughts can be considered by the board. and action is taken. thank you. president chiu: next speaker. three weeks ago, this was going to be an open and transparent process and then last the week before last, nobody was here. last week, it was a pretty
president chiu: next speaker. supervisors, first, let me tank outside counsel in this deliberation. because it s you helped us some in crafting the language to choose the interim mayor. and i want to thank our president and the clerk of the board for doing the same. you supervisors should understand that this is an important decision. and what do i see when i look at the chairs? i see some of the supervisors missing in action. and this is very disrespectful. unless, you know, they have emergency. which i doubt. supervisors, a lot will be said , but basically when some of us come here to testify, we want to testify on behalf of those that need help, on behalf of those that cannot defend themselves. and foremost, we want to see that our health, our safety, our education, all those quality of life issues are addressed by supervisors who are educated on issues. now, many of the speakers have spoken about david campos. i know i am pretty well. i know him pretty well and watc
