Aligarh : Noted academicians shed light on the merit-based structure of tenure, promotion, salary structure of teachers, incentives and system of assessment among other parameters for teachers in the new education policy.
These deliberations were made in the national webinar on ‘Teacher Education in National Education Policy (NEP)-2020’ of the Department of Education, Aligarh Muslim University (AMU).
In the keynote address, Padam Shri, Prof J S Rajput (Former Director, NCERT and India’s representative at UNESCO) recommended that education should be related to the world of work and deeply rooted in the culture and traditions of the Country.
He further spoke on the life and works of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr Zakir Hussain.
