Brenda Carlson of High River received an Abbeyfield Canada award on May 29 to recognize her volunteer service to Abbeyfield High River House.
She was appreciative of the recognition she received from Abbeyfield outside in George Lane Park where she received a plaque.

Abbeyfield Canada is a national non-profit organization that provides affordable housing for elders. There are 20 Houses from Vancouver Island to Ontario.
Carlson was presented with a Robert McMullan Award for Volunteering Excellence. She has been involved in Abbeyfield High River since the House opened in 2007 and has served in many board capacities. She took on the job as resident intake and put a very qualified team together and filled the home with a family of seniors looking to continue their independent life with perks.
