The city of Detroit has invested millions of dollars into renovating AB Ford Park. During that process, they found the soil in the park contains plastic and metal and are cutting down 251 trees.
Mayor Mike Duggan, community leaders and representatives from the Penske Corporation broke ground today on a new 8,116-square-foot state-of-the-art solar-powered community center at A.B. Ford Park in Jefferson Chalmers along the Detroit riverfront.
