Author: 5NEWS Web Staff Updated: 10:14 PM CDT May 13, 2021 Northwest Arkansas business owners are expecting more people to come to their locations now that the CDC has eased indoor mask guidelines for fully vaccinated people.   Aaron Schauer, the owner of The Piano Bar on Dickson Street, says today is a great day to show the progress we have made through the pandemic.  “The science now says so, if you are fully vaccinated, please come out and support your local businesses because it’s been a long time since we have been able to operate freely,” says Schauer. 

Grand Forks students win honors at state leadership and skills conference

Knudson | 3:00 pm, May 14, 2021 × Students at Grand Forks Central and Red River high schools earned honors in competitive events at the North Dakota SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference recently in Bismarck, according to the Grand Forks school district. SkillsUSA is a national organization that serves students in trade, industrial, technical and health occupation programs in public high schools, career and technical centers and schools, and two-year colleges. The students who placed in the SkillsUSA competitive event categories each received a medal. They included Grand Forks Central High School students Mark Cabunsura, third place in computer programming; and Sophia Pringle, Reyna Lindquist and Jakob Stevenson, who placed first, second and third, respectively, in technical drafting.

This is a very serious thing because a few of these can lead to your liquor license being pulled and you losing your entire business,” said Aaron Schauer, owner of The Piano Bar on Dickson Street.
