It comes after Rag’n’Bone Man, real name Rory Graham, performed his single Anywhere Away From Here with P!nk at the Brit Awards on Tuesday, backed by the Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Choir.
Life By Misadventure explores how he has grown as a man since becoming a father and touches on his recent separation from his wife of 10 years.
It eschews the stripped-back blues and soul of his debut for pop in the vein of singer-songwriters such as Joni Mitchell and bands including Electric Light Orchestra.
He leads an all-new top five this week with Michael Ball at number two with We Are More Than One and YouTuber Dodie at number three with her debut Build A Problem.
Ran’n’Bone Man, fom East Sussex, released Life by Misadventure this week. The record follows up his 2017 debut album Human, which also reached number one. Now it has been confirmed the star’s second album has outsold the rest of the top five albums combined with the follow up album. The artist, whose real name is Rory Graham, achieved 42,000 sales including 33,000 physical sales, PA reported. This gives the East Sussex-raised singer-songwriter, known for his baritone voice, both the biggest opening week for a British act this year and the fastest-selling album by a solo artist in the same period.

Sony Music Publishing UK has announced it has signed hit songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Ben Jackson-Cook to a worldwide deal.
Jackson-Cook is known for his close creative relationship with Rag’N’Bone Man, having co-written and co-produced his new album Life By Misadventure in its entirety.
In the latest midweeks, Rag N Bone Man s Life By Misadventure is in contention to become the biggest first-week seller of 2021. The LP has racked up 34,117 sales to date to close in on the 42,486 copies moved by Foo Fighters 10th studio album Medicine At Midnight in its first week of sale back in January.

Rag’n’Bone Man and Pink have joined forces with the Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Choir for the single, and the money they raise will be used to support the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust and NHS Charities Together.
Margarita Vidiella, the head of the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust Charity, said: “It is only thanks to generous donations that we are able to make a difference to our amazing colleagues and our communities – such as comfortable wellbeing hubs for clinicians to have a well-deserved rest, and psychological counselling for when our staff need that support.
