The graduate scholarships and financial assistance are provided by the Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Training Institute (DA-ATI) and Bureau of Agricultural Research (DA-BAR); Department of Science and Technology’s Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD); Foreign Universities Worldwide; Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Study in Agriculture (SEARCA); and United States Agency for International Development.

Published May 14, 2021 12:40pm Miss Universe Cameroon Angele Kossinda has stunned the crowd with her majestic national costume designed by a Filipino student from Isabela, Philippines. During the 69th Miss Universe national costume competition on Friday, Angele strutted the runway wearing a costume inspired by her country’s national animal, the lion. Apart from her ferocious headdress, she also had two lion-inspired accessories swinging from both arms. The costume, which symbolizes the “majestic love” for the creature, was designed by 20-year-old design student Kennedy Gasper. On Friday, the tourism office San Mateo, Isabela, proudly shared photos of Gasper with the costume before it was worn by Angele.

On Tuesday, the beauty queen shared screenshots of news headlines that reported 20-year-old student Kennedy Jhon Gasper as her designer. “I’m overwhelmed by the Filipino and media for the support,” she wrote on Instagram. “Indeed a national costume represents your country’s legacy, culture and image. And to me the most important thing is to find someone who could best represent it in an outfit or costume no matter your origins. This is what we learn from beauty pageant inclusion, tolerance, unity!” she said.
