Angèle Kossinda of Cameroon has heaped praises for the Filipino fashion student from Isabela who designed her national costume for the Miss Universe pageant.
On Tuesday, the beauty queen shared screenshots of news headlines that reported 20-year-old student Kennedy Jhon Gasper as her designer.
“I’m overwhelmed by the Filipino and media for the support,” she wrote on Instagram.
“Indeed a national costume represents your country’s legacy, culture and image. And to me the most important thing is to find someone who could best represent it in an outfit or costume no matter your origins. This is what we learn from beauty pageant—inclusion, tolerance, unity!” she said.
