Keep Sevier Beautiful to hold Battle of the Litter

SEVIERVILLE — Keep Sevier Beautiful will be holding a Battle of the Litter on Saturday, May 1, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. “This first annual Battle of the Litter is a great opportunity for our community to come together to help keep Sevier County clean and beautiful all while supporting their local police departments” said Executive Director, Lisa Bryant. The Battle of the Litter is a competition between, Sevier County Sheriff’s Office, Sevierville Police Department, Pigeon Forge Police Department and Gatlinburg Police Department to see which department can recruit the most volunteers to pick up the most litter here in Sevier County. The lucky department will take into possession Keep Sevier Beautiful’s first Golden Litter Award.

According to a video shared widely online, a fight broke out moments before the shots were fired. Police said they are still searching for information about the identity of the shooter.
