PIGEON FORGE â Police are looking to reconnect a family with some pictures, letters, and other items that belong to a couple who died decades ago.
Police were investigating a theft and, during a search, came across the mementoes that appear to belong to Charles Edwin Hyder and Mary Helen Hyder.
Charles Hyder passed away in 1969, while Mary Hyder died in 1996, police said. Her maiden name was Crussell.
Investigators believe the two were from Washington County.
They donât have information on the pairâs descendants, and have asked the public for help in returning the items to the Hydersâ family.

UPDATE 7 PM WEDNESDAY: Pigeon Forge police say Ada Hauser, 81, has been found safe and is back with her family.

Ada Louise Hauser is 5 feet, 3 inches and weighs about 180 pounds. She has gray hair and blue eyes, according to a notice from the Pigeon Forge Police Department.
Authorities fear for her safety.
