East Baton Rouge s storm water system may face fines or even legal action by regulators due to lack of compliance.
According to The Advocate, the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality has flagged problems with the city-parish’s Stormwater Management Program for years.

Hendersonville unveils Patton Park Stormwater Stroll
Hendersonville invites the public to take a walk along the Patton Park Stormwater Stroll.
The series of stormwater projects implemented by the city are now accompanied by informational signs to educate park visitors about water quality.
“All the features you see along the Patton Park Stormwater Stroll are designed to mimic how nature would treat stormwater if there were no pavement or buildings around,” said Stormwater Administrator Michael Huffman, in a city news release. “People may not be familiar with some of these treatment methods, so the signs are a great way for people to learn while they enjoy the walking path and amenities at Patton Park.”

HANNIBAL â The Hannibal Board of Public Works will be applying for coverage under Missouri Department of Natural Resources General Permit MOR04C â the comprehensive permit for municipal separate storm sewer systems. This will be an extension of the Hannibalâs existing stormwater quality management program.
A public meeting to review the proposed permit will be held on Thursday, April 8, at 5:30 p.m. in the HBPW conference room (3 Industrial Drive Loop).
As part of the Stormwater Management Program for this permit, the HBPW will develop an updated Stormwater Management Plan (SWMP) describing schedules, procedures, contacts, and other items listed under Part 4 of the permit. The SWMP will be finalized within 90 days after the permitâs renewal.
