A manhunt by the Florence County Sheriff Department Officers ended after one day, thanks to a badass Army Veteran. The suspect trespassed into the wrong back yard.
“I haven’t been pumped up like that in a long time. It felt good but it felt good when the officers came and put the cuffs on him and took him out. They’re some fine officers,” said Earl.
John Earl said he was at home when the suspect ran through his backyard on Saturday morning, news4sanantoniocom reported.

The 21 people present for the first night of the latest class of the Franklin County Sheriff s Office s Citizens Police Academy all had different reasons for being there.
Some had always admired law enforcement and wanted an inside look into the profession. Others seated in the room at a sheriff s support services building were interested in one day pursuing a career in law enforcement themselves.
One participant said he simply wanted to see what his tax dollars were funding.
Whatever their reasons for attending, Sheriff Dallas Baldwin said he mainly has one reason for offering the program: transparency. What s a better way to let the public know what we do than something like this? Baldwin asked shortly before he would introduce himself last month at the first of what would be 13 weekly sessions. Trio of Whitehall officers help save man from waters of Big Walnut Creek

A man whom the Whitehall Division of Police was told possibly had jumped from a bridge on East Main Street was not easy to see when three officers converged on the area shortly after 9 p.m. Jan. 12.
The three officers spread out under the bridge and along the banks of the Big Walnut Creek and found the 35-year-old man. Each took turns at keeping the man’s head supported and out of the below-freezing water amid rocks until Whitehall Division of Fire medics arrived and transported him to a local hospital, where he was admitted and remained several days.
