The 17-year-old survivor is at present in the protection of the Child Welfare Committee.  |  Photo Credit: iStock Images Key Highlights Police say they have arrested 20 of the 44 accused Malappuram: A teenaged girl in Kerala s Malappuram has alleged that she was raped by 44 men including her relatives for three years.  Pandikad police in Malappuram district said they have filed 32 cases against 44 men and arrested 20 of them.  The 17-year-old survivor is at present in the protection of the Child Welfare Committee. During counselling sessions, she informed the authorities at Nirbhaya centre about the series of sexual abuses and molestation she had been exposed to.

Image Source: IANS News Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 19 : Seventeen men have been arrested and 30 cases registered under the POCSO Act for rape of a minor girl in Kerala s Malappuram district. The girl was also abused twice earlier. The station house officer of Pandikkad police station, Mohammed Haneefa while speaking to IANS, said There are a total of 30 cases under Pandikkad, Karuvarakkundu and Vandoor stations in Malappuram district on sexual abuse and assault of the minor girl . The officer said, 16 cases are at Pandikkad, 13 at Karuvarakkundu, 1 at Vandoor. 16 people have been arrested in Pandikkad and 1 at Vandoor .
