Teen arrested for armed robbery in Hutchinson Police arrested a Hutchinson teen on suspicion of armed robbery Tuesday night after a high-speed chase through some southeast Hutchinson neighborhoods. Officers responded to the 800 block of East Fourth Avenue just before 9:30 p.m. on an armed robbery report, said Hutchinson Police Lt. Dustin Loepp. There, the 20-year-old victim told police he was robbed of personal belongings at gunpoint by two people while in the alley, one of whom he knew. Police were able to locate a suspect vehicle about 1 1/2 miles away, in the Careyville area, Loepp said. When officers attempted to pull the vehicle over near Avenue G and Lorraine Street, the suspect fled. Officers were finally able to get the car stopped about two miles north, near the Commerce Garden Apartments.

(Photo courtesy of GJSD) JOHNSTOWN The Greater Johnstown School District will move forward Tuesday with plans to bring students from Warren Street Elementary School in grades third through sixth back to in-person learning four days a week after the district’s spring break. Monday will be a fully remote day for all Warren Street students, giving staff necessary time to acclimate to their new classrooms. In order to satisfy six-foot social distancing requirements, a district release issued Thursday said students and teachers will be split into two buildings for the remainder of the school year, with grades three and four staying at Warren Street and grades five and six moving to the Knox Building, which currently houses district administrators, pre-K and several BOCES s
