Teen arrested for armed robbery in Hutchinson
Police arrested a Hutchinson teen on suspicion of armed robbery Tuesday night after a high-speed chase through some southeast Hutchinson neighborhoods.
Officers responded to the 800 block of East Fourth Avenue just before 9:30 p.m. on an armed robbery report, said Hutchinson Police Lt. Dustin Loepp.
There, the 20-year-old victim told police he was robbed of personal belongings at gunpoint by two people while in the alley, one of whom he knew.
Police were able to locate a suspect vehicle about 1 1/2 miles away, in the Careyville area, Loepp said.
When officers attempted to pull the vehicle over near Avenue G and Lorraine Street, the suspect fled. Officers were finally able to get the car stopped about two miles north, near the Commerce Garden Apartments.
