UNIVERSITY PARK Penn State has a new offensive coordinator another new offensive coordinator.
James Franklin announced a coaching staff change with the hiring of Mike Yurcich as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach and the departure of Kirk Ciarrocca.
A press release was issued this morning.
“First, I would like to thank Kirk for his contributions to our program last year,” said Franklin. “This was a difficult decision, but felt it was best for our program to make a change. We wish him and his family all the best in their future endeavors.
“We are excited to have Mike join our staff,” continued Franklin. “He is an impressive offensive mind and talented playcaller who has set records everywhere he has been as an offensive coordinator. I look forward to seeing what he can do with all of the offensive weapons we have here at Penn State. Blair County Planning Commission members Thursday gave a favorable review to plans by Kavi Partnerships LLC to construct a mixed-use building at 715 Sixth Ave.
The proposal calls for construction of a 5,662-square-foot, three-story, mixed-use building that will house a cafe on the first floor and apartments on the top two floors.
In addition to the proposed building, a drive-thru lane, paved parking lot, various landscaping and stormwater management facilities will be constructed. Prior to construction, an existing house and garage, along with portions of the existing sidewalk network, will need to be demolished, said Jamie L. Klink, regional planner.
