He told his roommates on july 20 he couldnt sleep so he went for a walk. When he didnt come back and they couldnt find him, they feared for the worst. All along he was just down the street here on Ardwick Ardmore road but unable to move or call for help. He was just far enough down here that drivers couldnt see him but thankfully a person walking by did. The first words that came out of my mouth was thank god and is he alive. Yeah, we were very happy and probably stunned. Reporter he was wedged so tightly under that tree that firefighters had to use the jaws of life to free him. He had a few minor injuries. Hes severely dehydrated but hes recovering this morning. Investigators, however, say they still want to talk tom because they want to know talk to him because they want to know how he was able to survive so long without food or water for seven days in these conditions. A committee on Police Transparency in Fairfax County has a new case to examine. In a weekend oped in the washington post, iraq war veteran alex horton described waking to find police with gun drawns on him last night. He accuses officers of using unnecessary force in a raid on his amount. This comes nearly two years after john geer was shot and killed by a Fairfax County officer in front of his home. Since then there have been differences of opinion over whether the commission is making progress. Fairfax county police said virtually nothing about the shooting till this year once the Justice Department got involved. Yesterday a grand jury began hearing testimony about geers august 2013 death.
