Venezuela calls in oil debt it once traded away for literal beans

Impoverished and desperate for cash, Venezuela is trying to collect old debts from a Hugo Chavez-era oil program that once handed out 200,000 barrels a day to a constellation of mostly poor island countries, which paid part of their bills with things like black beans and peanuts.
