company that left them with nothing. so this morning, former workers of rg steel will gather in protest and sherrie johnson is there right now and they are taking aim at the company's executives. >> reporter: exactly. they think that you know they didn't take a bonus and don't understand why top executives would take one. from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. former employees will be out here protesting and want to show solidarity. basically, the employees gave up their 6,000 dollar signing bonus to get raw materials to keep the plant running. but there was a problem. with the blast furnace and money diverted to fix the furnace the forel employees says the contract said the employees medical benefits would be covered for two years if there was a lay off and subpay would go until the end of unemployment benefits. they say they are not getting this. the prospects for steel making don't look so good. the mill was auctioned off last week for $72 million as part of rg steel's bankruptcy. plan s to find a new buyer. the judge handling the bankruptcy must approve the sale to new owners. meanwhile, former employees don't believe 10 executives should receive their huge bonus because they didn't make a deal to keep the plant up and running. so once again, those former employees will be out here this morning from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. to make their voices heard. reporting live in sparrows point sherrie johnson abc2 news. the familiar live christopher brown is not resting after he was pinned down by a baltimore county police officer and died asphyxiation. they staged a rally -- staged a rally last night asking for stiffer charges for police officer james laboard. back in june, brown was near a group of teens throwing rocks at front doors of a home and that's when the officer hit james laboard's dured and they said that witnesses -- door and witnesses said he got brown and held him down on the ground. he was released with no bail. brown's family says this is not enough. >> if they collected the evidence as i see it, the grand jury would have come up with a murder charge. >> chris brown's mother believes the state's attorney did not present all the evidence to the grand jury. brown's mom says that scott shellenberger has agreed to meet with her today. a massive lawsuit will be filed this morning against a security firm that a group in cherry hill says illegally policed them. the 25 million dollar lawsuit is against a private security firm tenable protective services. the report says the firm routinely subjected cherry hill residents and visitors to illegal stops and false arrests under the guys of enforcing trespassing laws it was done while work the city police department southern district. more on abc2. and tonight a vigil will be held in mount vernon honoring both develops of the shooting at a boarding -- both victims of the shooting at a boarding house. one died and the other is in critical condition. police are searching for two suspects they think shot the men outside the empire house on east chase street friday morning. police believe the motive was robbery. the vigil tonight is held at mount vernon park at 7:00. if you want to put gas in your tank, including a police officer after a man opened fire this happened near texas a&m university on the campus. the gunman thomas cassell started to shoot when the officer came toer is -- caffall when the officer came to serve him a eviction officers a few other by standers were hit and one died. for 25 years they spent time away from their families in jail cells serving tile for crime they said they never committed. now they are waking up this morning after being released. raymond and thomas were serving life sentence for a 1987 murder. on facebook a post opened up testimony in the case so they can be retried for the crimes. a mother and son are behind bars this morning accused of stealing millions of dollars worth of toys. authorities say that they have been stealing from toys r us for at least a decade. officers say the two would take the toys and then the son would sell them on line. law enforcement tracked them for month before making the arrest. >> this is his job. i go to work
