The owners of the sanctuary were arrested and face charges for animal abuse. In Volusia County hundreds of animals at a different sanctuary are now safe from being euthanized. Volunteers removed more than 400 animals from the sanctuary just in time, a bank foreclosed on the property last week forcing the owners to find new homes for the animals including horses, donkeys and hogs or they would have been euthanized. Beloved pets that lost homes and families in the louisiana oo thousands of pet owners were forced to abandon animals in the storm because most shelters dont take them.
