Police have released these photos of the man they say stole more than 5,000 from the hotel. Burr reports. Reporter this is the man police say theyre looking for this morning accused of robbing a clerk at gun point. A camera capturing this image of the man moments before investigators say he grabbed money from the clerk and took off, darting outside of the plaza hotel. It happened around 11 00 monday morning at the Currency Exchange located inside of the food hall, part of the public shopping area of the luxury its surprising. Reporter police say the man initially went up to the clerk asking to buy 500 euros. Say the suspect grabbed about 4600 euros, about 5,200 u. S. Investigators were seen going in and out of the shopping area monday after the incident. This sign was posted saying that the shop was closed due to unforeseen circumstances. This robbery late at night. A woman pulled a gun and made off with 300 in cash t. A murder suspect is in custody after a fourhour stand off with police in new jersey. Four hours later, video shows her limp body being carried out by a friend and another man who lives in the building. The family of a hospital worker wants to know how he could die in a hospital bathroom without anyone noticing for days. I dont understand how he could go to the bathroom and not be heard from again. A former emt who worked at the he went to the er thursday after injuring his finger but when the nurse called his name, he was gone. The family reported him missing friday. A very difficult morning here at mikes place diner where the woman worked. She had just gotten off of her shift and was crossing the street when she was struck and killed by a car. And according to report, she was six months pregnant. Heres a look at the scene earlier this morning. Police say she was crossing highland boulevard, midblock, when a car approaching the intersection hit her, leaving her unconscious in the street. Investigators say the drive about a block before realizing what happened, and turned around, going back to the scene. And as you mentioned, last night there was also another accident here on highland boulevard and that taking place in the rose bank section where a 61yearold man was struck and killed while crossing the street. The driver of the vehicle did remain on the scene. So far, no charges have been filed against either driver in either incident. But again, the 31yearold woman from here on Staten Island, reportedly six months pregnant, killed after leaving her job here at a local diner. A woman was struck and killed by a car on highland boulevard. It was the second deadly accident on the boulevard in just hours. Janelle burrell is live the scene with more. She was actually just getting off the job, running to catch a bus according to her manager when she was struck and killed by that vehicle. That woman looked like. We are told she was rushing home to get to her two little girls and she was six months pregnant with her first son when this accident happened. And this all happening around 11 00 last night here on highland boulevard. Police say she was crossing in the middle of the block when that car hit her, leaving her unconscious in the street. And investigators say the driver drove about a block and then realized what happened, turned around. We spoke with the manager and who spoke with the driver. 10 seconds later, i see street. And it just happened right over there. And it was too late. I saw her laying down. And just very, very devastating picture to see. The ambulance arrived two minutes later but they told us she had no pulse and it was too just real heart broken. Reporter and the manager went on to tell us that he had the opportunity to speak with coworker. And he says that she told him she didnt even see her as she was crossing the street. He says its a dark highway, four lanes of traffic. And she did not realize she hit her until after the fact. And we should tell you that last night there was another accident here on highland boulevard in the rose bank section where a 61yearold man was struck and killed by a vehicle, a completely unrelated accident. Police have released new photos of the man they say robbed the Currency Exchange yesterday. He asked to buy 500 euros. The family of a bronx hospital worker wants to know how a man could die in a bathroom and stay there without anyone noticing for five days. When the nurse called his name, he was gone. And coworkers at a diner are heart broken after a pregnant woman was struck and killed by a car. It happened moments after the woman left work. Janelle burrell is live with more. Reporter and chris, a very difficult morning for coworkers here at mikes place diner. This is where the 31yearold shannon lyes worked. She was running across highland boulevard to catch a bus to rush home to her two daughters when she was struck and killed by a car. She was six months pregnant with her very first son. This happened around 11 00 last night here on highland boulevard. Police say she was crossing highland boulevard midblock when the car approaching the intersection struck her, leaving her unconscious in the street. Investigators say the driver drove about a block and then turned around, not realizing what happened. When she realized, she turned around and came back to the scene. And we spoke with her manager a few machine minutes ago and she few minutes ago and he described what he saw. I see everybody run out in i ran over there and it was too late. I saw her laying down. And just very, very devastating picture to see. The ambulance arrived two minutes later but they told us, she had no pulse and it was too late. Just heart broken. Reporter now earlier in the night, also here on highland boulevard but in the rose bank section, Police Telling us that a 61yearold man was also struck and killed by a car and also while crossing the street. The driver in that case remained on the scene. But again, here at mikes place diner this morning, a very, very somber mood as they mourn the loss of their coworker. Reporting live this morning, janelle burrell, cbs 2 news. Thank you. Police have released new photos of a man they say robbed the famed plaza hotel. He asked to buy 500 euros and then grabbed over 4600 euros from the employees hand, thats about 5,000. This robbery on the night of september 28th at a deli grocery in bronx. The woman pulled the gun and made off with 300 in cash. The clerk was not hurt. Crews vie have recovered a second crews have recovered a second body from the explosion of an Apartment Building in bronx. A gas leak possibly caused the blast from her Apartment Building. Sources tell cbs 2 news the gas was shut off in june because she hadnt paid her bills. Investigators are checking the the gas was somehow tampered with. Record floods killed at least 12 people and shut down more than 500 bridges and roads. And video out of the area shows the moment a road started to buckle and then collapse.
