Heres what you need to know as far as the numbers. Donald trumps percentage of the remaining to get to 1,237, he needs to win 58 of all remaining delegates. High bar, not impossible. The path forward is tricky. These are not winner take all states. If he gets 50 or more, he could win all 95 of the new york delegates. That would be a big deal. Unlikely he pulls that off. Thats why wisconsin is meaningful. Basically, hes not going to win all these in california. Hes going to lose some of these states here. We know that ted cruz does well in this part of the country. Accuses the party, essentially, of being in cahoots with everybody to take it away from him. The only way he becomes the nominee is if he makes nice with party bosses. What does he do . Insults them and insinuates theyre trying to steal it from him. Not to steal your thunder but if youre donald trump and youve gotten to this lead in the delegates, you think you got there by being donald trump. That is the internal divide in the small circle of people around him. When they go to him and say and there are people close to him that would like to see him be more president ial, like to see him do more things like the apex speech where he read from the teleprompter or stood in front of the flags. Theyd like to see more of that dronl donald. I think the people that enable the other behavior are the people that listen to donald who says, i got this far by being me. An alabama lawmaker filed an impeachment resolution against Governor Robert Bentley on tuesday. Bentley faces allegations of an extramarital affair with a top aide. The governor admitted making inappropriate remarks to rebecca mason, but denies the two had a physical affair. In a statement, bentley said there are no grounds for impeachment, and i will vigorously defend myself and my administration from this political attack. To San Francisco, where city leaders approved a family leave law on tuesday. It requires companies with 20 or more employees to provide six weeks of fully paid leave for new mothers and fathers. Advocates say the issue is gaining momentum across the country, like the debate over a higher minimum wage. Reporter this morning, owen labrie is asking for a new trial after the case that rocked one of the countrys most elite prep schools. Labrie was acquitted last year in New Hampshire of felony rape charges involving an underage classmate. Guilty or not guilty . Guilty. Reporter he was found guilty of misdemeanor Sexual Assault, as well as computerrelated seduction. In a motion just filed, his lawyers essentially claim his Trial Defense Team dropped the ball by only focusing on the Sexual Assault charges, not the computerrelated charge. And not only is that a very serious charge, but it carries with it the sentence of him being registered as a sex offender. Reporter among other things, the motion also claims the defense did not request appropriate jury instructions. Its extremely unlikely that this argument is going to get owen labrie anywhere. Ineffective assistance of counsel claims are common and rarely granted by the court. Reporter nbc news reached out to labries trial attorneys for comment but didnt immediately hear back. The 20yearolds case drew National Headlines when it revealed an alleged ritual, known as the senior salute, when seniors ask out freshman, sometimes for sex. Dr. Mehmet oz is here to help us make sense of it all. Good morning. Theres a couple of studies that talked about full fat milk that puts it in a better light. Maybe its a better choice. Whats your take away . There are lots of experts and nutritional guidelines that argued for years we should be using the low fat dairy instead of whole fat. Theres not a lot of proof for that. The studies do the opposite, saying maybe its healthier to take the whole fat milk. This is a big movement happening. We have focused on specific nutrients instead of whole foods. We need to shift back and say, is the whole food itself good for us . If so, lets consume it in that form. One of the studies said it lowered your risk of diabetes. The other said it helped with obesity if you drink full fat. The circulation study didnt just trust what you said but looked at the blood in your body and looked for the milk fats. People with whole fat had a lesser chance for diabetes. How is it possible . Were trying to do the right thing but the wrong thing is happening. Maybe milk fat has a protective effect, for example, by waking the liver or muscles up to consume sugars effectively. Maybe it changes the bacteria in our gut. We know the recommendation is to drink skim milk or fat free, but probably not a wise thing if you want to reduce diabetes. All in moderation . To drink milk is a personal decision. If youre going to eat a food, youre better off with whole food. Did you tell us you were eating whole fat milk or no . The researchers looked over long periods of time, what happened to the chances of you becoming obese. Youre drinking or eating lowfat dairy to lose weight. We have yogurt. I look for the low fat you gugu there is a lesser chance of becoming obese if you consume whole fat dairy. If you had a choice, wasnt about the calories, youd always consume whole fat because it tastes better. Of course. It makes you feel fuller so you dont search for other sources of calories. That takes us to this table, the big issue. If you go to the gaucrocery sto. You have low fat versions of everything. You have the cheese, milk. Which do you buy for your home . Id always go for the low fat, except for maybe the chocolate milk. I probably wouldnt have pick thad. Thats different. My household, i spent a lot of time researching this, america should be buying whole fat versions. The whole food is designed to be consumed that way. Now we have no benefit of avoiding it. Dr. G. , good morning. Morning. I like talking to my kids about the relevant of politics, and ive found myself is staying away from the conversation because of whats been going on. Its a great opportunity. I dont know about in your house, but when i talk to my kids about behavior i dont admire, its their behavior or their friends, which makes me angry and them defensive. This is a chance to talk to them about issues, behaviors, things important to us as a family. What age group are we talking about . Were not talking, again, about the nuts and bolts of politics. Were talking about the basics. What age should we start . Preschool. Preschoolers love the idea of picking and choice. I hope youll take your preschoolers to the polls with you. What about the campaigns themselves . If theyre in the room when coverage of Campaign Events and its hard to avoid. Come on and its hard to avoid, they hear the names used by the candidates, do we stop them in their tracks and say, let me explain what youre hearing . Its a great idea. Kids like coviewing with us and voicing their opinion. And say, for example, is that why you say insulting or lying is bad . It doesnt look good and now, i dont think that person would be great at their job. Theyll say, mom and dad, you tell me not to use those exact words when i refer to my brother, sister or friends on the playground. How do these people get away with it . Its great to point out that bad behavior doesnt end on the playground or in the bedroom with your sibling. To say, now you tell me, what does that make you think about that person . Do you admire that . Theres one other step we should take. I dont want to go too far. But if your children are in the room watching the political news with you, they have seen actual violence at events. A guy gets punched, Something Like that. Where do you go about starting that discussion . I would ask my kids, and have asked my kids, if you were in that situation, how would you handle it . What would a 5, 6, 7yearold say . Usually, theyll give you back your own rules. Oh, you shouldnt use your hands. An older kid, my 11 or 14yearold, is likely to say, i think you cant go tell a teacher this case. Do you have to push back . What do you do . Without endorsing any candidate here, i do think parents can use john kasichs line. Which is, im not going to take the low road to the highest office in the land. As a parent, i have used that and it works. I agree. Listen, i think it is the Silver Lining of seeing things we dont like on the campaign trail. Its a great conversation starter at home. Often times my kids come home when theyre younger and say, im for x or y candidate. They have no idea why. Im dressing up as them at school. No idea why. Should you bring out of them facts and reasoning behind their proclamations . I think every time we ask our kids to think about why theyre making a choice, any choice, we make them stronger citizens. Its a great chance, especially if we know they cant vote. We dont have to get too worried about what their choice is now. We can have a meaningful conversation. All is not lost. Its not lost. Well, wait until you see what i learned. First, according to the National Sleep foundation, the average adult requires 7 to 9 hours a night. What if you could get all the sleep you needed in a few short hours . Some folks can. Reporter as the sunsets and the moon rises, most of the world shuts down. Required by nature to recharge. Then there are those like me. Or matt. Also wide awake at zero dark thirty, happily ticking to a different clock. Whats your deal with sleep . I dont need it. In order to be a happy, functioning person, i need four hours of sleep. I have more energy than most people i know. Reporter always up and running when the rest of the world shuts down. Matt thought there was something wrong with him until he heard about scientists studying short sleepers. All the nature with short sleepers, they look like matt. Theyre very active. Theyre happy all the time. Very energetic. Very healthy. Reporter they only sleep four to five hours a night. Thats it. Turns out, our genes control how much sleep we need. We have found some mutations that make people short sleepers. Reporter after years of research, the doctor found a mutation in dna that allows people to sleep more efficiently. When she inserted it in mice, they started sleeping less, too. Unfortunately, less than 1 of the pop yu unfortunately, less than 1 of the pop ylation has this mutation. I wasnt thinking abnormality, i was thinking superhero. Reporter for someone who only slept five or six hours, i wondered, could i be a sleep elite or am i ignoring my exhaustion . I head to the sleep Disorder Center at new york presbyterian hospital. Night. What were going to see is what his sleep structure looks like. Does he sleep like somebody who is sleep deprived . Does he sleep very efficiently . Does it look normal . Ive always been a, quote, morning person. My mom said i didnt sleep much as a kid. Are you sensitive to reporter beyond the lens, a doctor records my sleep history and crunches the data to see how i measure up to other short sleepers. Am i like every other american, am i sleep deprived . Probably not. The information we got looked like your average is more like seven hours. What you do better than most people, probably, is you can bank sleep. You can make up for sleep on days youre not working. Everybody can do that to some extent, but you probably do it better. Wow, thats good to know. Reporter scientists hope by studying short sleepers, theyll one day be able to help everybody else get a good nights sleep. For those ordinary humans a lot of people train themselves to sleep less in order to make time for other things. The problem is they dont realize they are paying the price with their health. Each person should figure out what the optimum length of time is they need for sleep to be happy, healthy and smart. Reporter until then, rest assured, ill man the fort while the rest of you go nighty night. Experts admit they know so little about how were wired for sleep. But each person has a unique sleep requirement. If you feel good after ten hours of sleep, thats how much you need to get, whether its catching up from naps or go to bed early. Theyre nobrainers, does the hard work for you. If i want to clean my blender. The blender can need extra tlc. It builds up this residue in here. To fix that, take lime and squeeze one lime in. Lime has acidity that makes it great for cleaning out bacteria and cleaning your home in general. Okay. Squeeze the whole lime in. Add two cups of water. Then you turn that on. Return it f run it for two minutes. Really turning it on . Yeah. I hope you can do it. That, i can do. The blender deep cleans itself. You can already see its getting that off. Cool. Might get a little warm. Thats okay. After two minutes, pour it out. And make a margarita. Whatever works. Just kid l. The chrome faucets. As soon as you clean them, they show water spots, fingerprints, what have you. Take wax paper. This is a final step. Rub it on the chrome. Its leaving behind this residue that acts as a barrier. Next time you turn the faucet on, no fingerprints will show. Water spots wont show. Itll roll off. Really . Yeah. After several weeks, you might need to do it once a week or so. I hate looking at these. Its like my blowdryer. People need to clean the b h bathroom vents every two months. Take an air can. Ive used those. Its exciting. Step back. Make sure you do this first when cleaning your bathroom because the dust will fall and be all over everything. Tv dusting. This is my favorite hack ever. I use it every week. Take these swiffer sheets and walk around your house. Anything that needs dusting, wipe it on. Itll clear it up after a couple swipes. I use this on electronics, picture frames. The Little Feather duster thing. It picks up the dust right away, throw it out and youre done. Lets do the patent leather shoes. Its really popular, especially in the springtime. They show scuff marks all time. Easily. I take some Petroleum Jelly and a qtip. Who would think of this . I know. Amy would. You rub it on. Little elbow greece, these should come right off. Really . That one is gone. Why do we have the stencils here . Scuff marks on the floor. You dont have to rebuff your floor every time it happens. Take an eraser and erase the marks. Nuts. Hell stand up for us. This week on today food, pasta with a twist. Katie lee, cohost of the Food Networks show the kitchen has a creative take on lasagna, perfect for spring and summer. Good morning. Good to see you. Morning. Nice to be here. Its not hard to make, and its much healthier than what were used to. It is a lighter lasagna without being like a diet food. Lets take a look at our ingredient grid or panel here right now. Weve got the basics. Everything youd expect except the meat. Wheres the beef or sausage . I know youre upset about this. We have squash, zucchini, fresh herbs, lasagna noodles, parmesan, mozzarella, sauce. If you want to put in meat, you can do that. Totally, yeah. Where do we start . Start with the lasagna noodles. Cook them to packaged instructions. Except i do it a minute or two less. Is that because theyre going to cook further when you take them out . Right. Or because you need to work with them. Theyll cook further. But cook them enough that you can work with them. You have to roll these up. Were making these lasagna rolls. All right. You can also substitute brown rice noodles if you want to go gluten free. Whole wheat, take your pick. The folks are ready to big in. I heard yums already, which is good. Terrific. Those are the noises i like to hear. Perfect. What now . Saute onions and garlic and add the zucchini and squash. These need to food only a couple minutes because you want them to release their natural water content so you dont have a watery lasagna. You cant put oil in that . A little oil in the pan. Put some pepper in there. Just salt and pepper it. Season every step so you have a really good tasting lasagna. Ends up looking like this. Put them in a bowl, cool down, and add, like dr. Oz said, have full fat ricotta. You could also go low fat. You could. Stir that, matt. Ill add in the Parmesan Cheese for nice, salty flavor. Full fat . Yeah. And the egg holds everything together. Parsley, salt and pepper depose in. You can do broccoli and spinach or brown sausage, turkey and beef. Now the sauce. Its a great summer sauce because you dont cook it. I pureed a ran of tomatoes. Add basil and salt and pepper. Mix that up. Its going to cook in the oven. Super simple. Now were going to make our lan saga rollups. Take your noodles. I put it in an assembly line. Thats the filling. It goes into a ziptop bag. Then cut off the end. Looks like we cut it up top. Were missing our scissors. Were going to break that off. Cut it with a knife. Go ahead. Cut the tipoff. Using this like a pastry bag. Squeeze it on there. You make a Little Assembly line. You do all of them. Then you tightly roll these up. Just like that. They go into a pan youve put some of the sauce down. Line these up. Spoon some of the sauce on top. Guys, how are we doing downstairs . This is so much easier than making a traditional lasagna. Its really easy. This goes back in the oven now. Top it first with mozzarella and parmparmesan. 375 for 40 minutes until its golden brown and bubbly. Do you miss the meat . We have one with a little sausage. And one veggie. How would you compare the two . Theyre both delicious. Cant go wrong. Satisfying in different ways. Very good. Which was this one, the vegetable . Thats vegetable. Is this meat . Thats meat. You can have a little bit of both. Serve this with a salad, garlic bread and you have a great dinner. My daughter is vegan now. This is delicious. On tuesday, she continued that conversation when amy spotted her name on the cover of a special issue of Glamour Magazine. It was called, chic at any size. Heres what amy schumer noticed in the bottom corner of the magazine. Women who inspire us, melissa mccarthy, adele, amy schumer and ashley graham. Schumer said, theres nothing wrong with being plus size. Its considered size 16 in america. I go between a 6 and 8. Glamour mag put me in their plus size only issue without letting me know, and it doesnt feel right to me. Hmm. That was the first warning shot. Whenever you go on twitter and ask your followers, what do you think, youre about to beyhive, the beyonce, theyll swarm who you tagged. Glamours editor in chief responded in a series of tweets. She said, we love amy schumer and i would never want to offend her. The special edition never calls her plus size. She said the 2015 cover story was included in the edition aimed at sizes 12 and up, with the cover line, women who inspire us, because her longtime message of body positivity and talking back to body haters is inspiring. So i think we have to get rid of the plus size moniker. Get rid of it. You are the size you are. Thats that. Yeah. Call it a day. The problem is, a lot of the stores even, they have a plus size floor. I mean, you go to the Major Department stores. Yeah. Its separated from the entire womens department.
