Police also found the man who put the bag there. It was a Good Samaritan who made a bad choice. The gentleman told us that he found the package, and thought it best that he turn it into Law Enforcement as a lost and found property. Because he was late to attend the opera, he left it propped up next to the police car, which was unattended. Reporter police say the man was turning in lost property, so he will not face consequences, but they say in the future, when people find lost property to give them a call. This time in the east bay, where police is have arrested a man suspected of attacking an 89yearold woman, and stealing her car. An Oakland Police captain confirms, officers arrested Terrance Hardy in east oakland without incident at 7 45 tonight. Hes wanted for punching the elderly woman in the face, and then driving off with her car. This Surveillance Video shows the white toyota leaving a parking lot of a cvs store moments after the attack. Hardy is also believed to be the man who threatened or assaulted several officers in oakland. The library tells ktvu, there have been three incidents since march. New developments tonight in a Sexual Assault case involving two students at stanford university. Last week, we showed you a rally in support of lea sharon francis. Who says she was assaulted by a student. Now stanford says it will withhold his degree for two years. He also wont be allowed to enroll in a graduate program until 2016. New information tonight about yesterdays deadly shooting at a high school in a suburb of portland, oregon. Today the victim was identified as 14yearold emilio hoffman. He was a freshman at Reynolds High School in trout dale. His family released a statement saying he was a fun loving boy. The shooter is identified as Jared Michael padgett. Also, a freshman at the high school. Padgett killed hoffman, and wounded a teacher before killing himself. He had two guns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. The shooter used an ar15 type rifle in the attack and carried, but did not use a semi automatic handgun. Reporter police say the teen was able to get ahold of the guns from his home, even though they were in a secure location. At this point, a motive for the attack is still unclear. A shooting in berkely injured two people late this afternoon, news chopper 2 was over the scene during our 5 00 news. Police say gunshots were reported at about 4 30 near russell, and california streets. When officers arrived, they found a 21yearold man, and an 18yearold man suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to the hospital, and are expected to survive. Police say theyre still looking for the gunman. A u. S. Magistrate in San Francisco denied bail today to raymond, shrimp boy, chow. He is accused of Money Laundering in a case that has also ensnared a state senator. Why chow supporters say theres a double standard here.
