Family members, the victims were visibly upset as the judge read the ruling. They had one of the death penalty. Jury came to this decision after 7 hours of deliberations over 2 days. It ended a 3 month trial that included graphic videos and photos from the massacre and its aftermath. Also heartwrenching testimony from the victims, family members and a tour of the still blood spattered building. The 24 yearold will now spend the rest of his life in prison. It was on valentines day of 2018 that the shooter killed 17 people at Marjory Stoneman douglas high school. The Supreme Court has rejected former President Trumps request to intervene in the legal battle over the search of his florida home. Trump asked the high court to overturn an Appeals Court ruling that denied a special master from reviewing more than 100 classified documents. The papers found at his maralago estate. The courts denial means the independent party will not have access to those papers. The city of santa rosa is moving forward with the plan to try and stop sideshows in the city. The new laws theyre talking about could take effect as early as next month. That side shows, including those driving the cars, passengers people watching on the street and organizers Officials Say the city has seen an increase in illegal sideshows over the last few years. It really reached a fever pitch during the pandemic. Sideshows include hundreds of people showing up to watch cars drifting, doing burnouts and doughnuts. Theyre held several times a month. Usually at night on city streets or parking lots. Yeah. One of the things thats the most disturbing that youve seen with the sideshows. When police do engage the sideshow and tried to break it up. Police say the suspect got away with money and jewelry. The granddaughter of the victim told us that she believes that her grandmother was targeted because shes an older asian woman. Hes been booked into the San Mateo County jail on several felony charges. Oakland police are investigating the citys 100th homicide of the year. A person was found dead on the 2500 block of 82nd avenue and not far from castleman High School Police not yet releasing a lot of details. They say the victim died from Blunt Force Trauma after being assaulted and anyone with information as always being asked to call oakland police. The man authorities believe is responsible for the death of 4 family members in merced said pleaded not guilty in court this morning. Investigators say that Jesus Manuel Salgado had kidnapped to 8 months old. Her mother and father and her uncle from the familys trucking business.
