Lets bring in our chief meteorologist jeff ranieri now. We are here, the weekend, 6 45 on a friday night. I know. And weve got a great weekend forecast coming our way. I did want to reflect on what happened today near the coastline and that was the fact that we had little to no sunshine. Our new data coming in from our new partners at Weather Underground showing at 7 00 this morning starting off the fog as we advance this youll see again cloudy skies all the way through the afternoon. So a xray coastline throughout today. As we get you to the side of the sky camera network, we did have sun in San Francisco. The low clouds have pushed back in. Right now 70. Down here in the south bay, we do have blue sky. As we take you in closer, what youre going to see with the 72 degrees is theres a bit of haze. You can clearly see it right there at the top of your screen. Some of that haze actually a function of the king fire. Its looking more and more likely is helping to disperse some of air thats near the fire thats up some 10,000 feet and bring it our way. The thing thats helping to do that is this trough of upper low pressure. Counterclockwise circulation around this dragging down again a little bit of that haze in the atmosphere thats coming from the central valley. Its also helping to pull up some humidity today. So if you did notice that in the atmosphere, it wasnt just you. We actually did have some added moisture out there. Lets take a look at that microclimate forecast as we head throughout saturday. Right near average. Sausalito 73. And for the east bay, 74 in oakland to more than a 10degree jump back towards walnut creek. I think thats where some of that haze will be very visible if you look off towards the east towards sacramento. For the trivalley, up to 88 in pleasanton. Also expecting 89 in livermore. By this weekend, some subtle changes between saturday and sunday. Well see some low 90th in the trivalley by then, also some patchy areas of drizzle in San Francisco. If youre looking for something to do this weekend, weve got a lot happening.
