I went in the mens room and it was horrifying and i never went back. What twilight zone. More men are doing all the shopping in the factory is that wrong. Another decline in the chapter of america. More about that. Should we take the side of facebook ceo sandberg and lean in and say is this a good thing or will would he be playing the role of mrs. Cleaver . Get right to your News Headlines. I was watching walking dead and flipping back and forth the other walking dead the los angeles dodgers. There you go. A little sports. Rick was standing by and watching with baited breath sports wrapup. I was eating burgers at the food festival, the burger bash in new york last night. How many did you have . Maybe like 18 small burgers or something. Its a bloated morning this morning. Out across the east coast we have got some storms down across southeast. Nothing thats really big and nothing thats going to rain all day. Keep some cloud cover and a few showers cutting through the ohio valley as well. Ross the west. Nd of linger we had had a couple of weekends where we had the storms with all the snow. Now we have got big pressure in control across the east and things will warm up and eventually looking nice there temperaturewise, some the coldest air we have seen this year across central and southern parts of the plains. Take a look at that, 32 degrees as you are waking up in pueblo. Freeze warnings in effect across parts of kansas into oklahoma down in the panhandle of texas. Some of your significant snow not too significant but snowing across minnesota and wisconsin. I cant believe we have to Start Talking about snow significantly again this time of year. Its unbelievable. It happens every year around this time. Rick reichmuth. What sequester . White house tours are back. The Obama Administration announcing those tour also resume seven months after they were suspended because of budget cuts. Elizabeth prann is live in washington, d. C. With the very latest on this. Elizabeth . Good morning. You are right. The doors are opening november 5th tours will resume at 1600 pennsylvania avenue. Perhaps only a limited time. The tours have been suspended since march because of the spending sequester cuts. Offered three days week on average. Although the exact number of day also vary. In addition to the tours, the white house will be holding semiannual gardens and ground tour next weekend the 26th and 27th. If you remember, at the time the administrations pointed the blame, pointed the finger to the secret service. They said basically it was cost concerns. But this a statement from the Agency Spokesperson we heard last night quote, in light of the new fiscal year the secret service is confident that through the new funding bill we can operated at reduced funding levels while still meeting our operational requirements. Now the original move to suspend the tours did draw some outrage from congressional staff. Several accused the administration of overreacting much like we heard during the recent partial shutdown. And well have to see the fate of these tours. Will they last . Will they continue after the stop gap spending bill expires on january 15th while were just going to have to see. Tucker, anna, clayton, back to you guys. Thanks a lot, elizabeth. Thanks elizabeth. Thanks. Now that we have this debt deal in place. It was amazing this week because of all sorts of back payments that we were supposed to have paid. The National Debt just ballooned like overnight. Like 329 billion just walloped. In one day. In one day. So now we have officially gone over 17 trillion is the new marker that we have hit. We dont have really a debt ceiling in place. We keep talking about this debt ceiling, but there really isnt a debt ceiling in place. Its like an artificial idea of the debt ceiling. Imagine going to the atm, checking your balance and finding in one day you were down 328 billion. Thats happened to me. [ laughter ] its happened to me. On the monopoly board when i was playing. Keep in mind, this is the official debt number, one of the many phony numbers made up by washington, d. C. To deceive you about the depth of the crisis here. This number does not count the money that is owed to retirees or the pour. Obligations that we have through our entitlement programs like medicare and medicaid. Social security. It doesnt count that at all. That is debt but it is not listed. If you counted that it would be many more trillions of dollars. And because its just been suspended, you know, how much debt are we really going to be rabing up . How much spending happening between now and february 7th . A lot of Government Watchdog groups, waste groups are upset about this going whats going on up here. Because 16 million or trillion dollars didnt really make a mark, are l. 17000000000000 brian york on cavuto yesterday said i dont think so. Does that light a fire underneath somebodys rear end and get some action here . Well, you know, 16 trillion didnt do it. Its hard to imagine that 17 trillion is going to do it. Obviously you have had a number of republicans paul ryan and others talk about trying to get some actual entitlement reforms that will stop the growth of this explosive growth of debt thats projected in the future. But so far, you know, all the talk of a grand bargain is pretty much off the table here in washington. Anything that would actually keep that 17 trillion from turning into 18 or 19 or 20 trillion is really not on the table right now. So where is august of this spending happening right now all of this spending happening right now . Here is one example. The health and Human Services department. The department thats hired the navigator folks to go out door to door and educate us all about obama care. They have spent a staggering 56 million on 135 separate conferences. Take a look at these numbers. 56 million. On conferences. So, you know, presume that you are paying for the shrimp tray, the cheese platter at hotels around the country. And or not the world in fact. They staged an event in japan on alcohol abuse. If you take a look at the conferencesment some of them are so mindless and counter productive it almost defies belief. A number of conferences on diversity of course which is an assertion on the american left. Increasing diversity in the nursing workforce as if we dont have enough indian nurses and this is government business. Bean counters keeping track of racial ethnicity in workforces. Some of these conferences are likely necessary. But do they really have to be international . Have you ever heard of skype for crying outloud . You mentioned the one in japan. We may all enjoy japan with our sushi roll or something but i dont think that necessarily means we need to go there and study alcohol aabuse. When the government does too much it does nothing well. The government is good at a couple Different Things fighting wars among them. When they start keeping track of the racial composition of the nursing workforce you know maybe we are overextended. More on that coming up on the show. Let us know how you feel about that friends at foxandfriends. Com. Finds us on twitter ff weekend. The u. S. Nabbing former bin laden confidante in libya. Not only are we giving him a civilian trial on u. S. Soil, gets a public defender too. Why doesnt this guy belong at gitmo . Joining us is joe conor whose cousin was killed on 9 11 2001. His father was killed in a terrorist attack. Orchestrated by saln. Good morning and thanks for being with us. Thanks for having me. Im sure this brings up all kinds of emotions in you when you hear about this. You say he belongs in gitmo. Why . Absolutely. Were appeasing him and were appeasing the terrorists putting him in new york. There is no connection to new york. Gitmo was put in place to handle enemy combat tants and thats him. There is no reason to bring him here for the expense and the issues of safety to the American People and the people of new york. Safety and critics would say look, you have ray kelly here the Police Commissioner of new york city. One of the typest Police Commissioners in new york city. What Real Security issues do the people of new york have as a result of this guy . Well, terrorists have been known to escape. I will tell i about the afln which killed my father before. They tried to or success straight two escapes one from leavenworth. Any time you bring a terrorist into a populated area the opportunity for an attack by his fellow terrorists is there. And not to mention the disruption and the issues that go along with having somebody of his profile in a civilian court. And feels like we are starting to show weakness toward terrorism when situations like this arise and even with our debt . Absolutely. I mean, look at the way in washington now our debt is spiraling out of control which doesnt allow us to project the power around the world that wield want to. At the same time, we are bringing terrorists to new york, trying them here rather than putting in them in Guantanamo Bay which is a facility built for that in my eyes and the eyes of many people including terrorists that shows weakness. Any time you have weakness you you are really inviting more terror. George washington said in order to secure the peace you have to project that you are able to fight the war at any time. And i dont think we are doing that right now. And we are really putting our own people in danger for some Political Correctness or appeasement. What sort of message does this send to the world when we dont bring them in front of a military tribunal at Guantanamo Bay. Are we showing to annas point about weakness but are we also showing that were not committed to bringing these guys to justice in a proper way as an enemy combatant on the field . Yeah, i think you are right. Guantanamo bay was set up for this very thing. The other part is when you have had terrorists tried in the u. S. , such as the faln. They went to jail for a long time. In 1999 eric holder released them because political running for senate. But they end tried for murder. The same thing is going to happen with this terrorist here. Its a conspiracy charge. And that overtime you might hear people political wind shift say, well, you know, whats he really in jail for 50 years for . He never killed anybody . He was not violent. Thats the same stuff we heard in 1999 when the clintons released the faln. Thank you for sharing your perspective with us this morning. County issuing ultimatum to healthcare workers either get a shot or wear a mask when treating p flu shots during annual innow there enza season. They have to offer shots for free. Is this a strategic move to contain illness or unnecessary encroachment on personal liberty . Here to bring us both sides of this issue . Is pediatrician joanna and physician dr. Natalie azar. Welcome both doctors. Thank you. This is look, joanna, is there something that we should learn from the fact that 40 of healthcare workers in california arent getting flu shots . Why is that . Well, you know, there is some risk to the flu shot but the benefits far, far out. But shouldnt healthcare workers know that . Why are they making the choice not to get a flu shot . Im not sure why they are making that choice. I personally always get a flu shot. These people are working with the sickest population. The people that are far more at risk for the Adverse Health effects that come from getting the flu. So, in my opinion, it makes sense. Either get a flu shot, or if you dont want to, wear a mask. Not all day long. Just when you are working with these patients or dont choose to work with the sickest patients. So, what about that . Why shouldnt be people be be forced to wear masks . Why shouldnt people be when they treat sick patients and havent received a a flu shot. Honestly i think they do. There is two major points about this story. One is what is the extent that the public has a responsibility and specifically then healthcare workers to engage and promote healthy behavior to decrease the transmission of the flu and the second one is sort of to deyou cant get the flu from the flu vaccine. Getting the flu vaccine doesnt eliminate the risk of transmission. There is roughly 60 reduction in a flulike illness that would send you to the doctor or get labeled on your chart. So what does this really mean . It has a lot to do with is the community where you are living, is the flu vaccine that you are getting, is that covering the viruses in your community and also the recipient of the flu vaccine. How good of an antibody are you making. Has to do with the health status. We should know the nurses union and there is one in california opposes this rule. If it is good for nurses working with the critically ill. Why shouldnt i be forced to work a mask on the subway or ordering takeout from the drivethru. You are not as sick as the patients in the hospital. There is also a Bigger Picture because, you know, we have such high healthcare expenditures in our country. Our economy is under major crisis. And if we are exposing our sickest patients to the flu, we are prolonging the hospitalization. Thats going continue to crease healthcare costs. Its going to hurt our economy more. So its not just a health issue. Its a financial issue as well. We will all be Wearing Masks by the end. Thank you very much. Interesting subject. Thank you. Next on the run down, it happened on the show homeland. You okay . We now know that he Vice President dick cheney actually thought this could happen to him. Stunning new revelations. Well now that the Government Shutdown is open, spotlight back on obama care and new report the web site is providing insurers with the wrong information making this even impossible for people to sign up. Its important to remind folks that even as there have been some challenges in rolling through the web site. Those challenges are being addressed and progress is being made and people are enrolling across the country. How will these problems impact coverage . Hadley heath from the independent womans forum joins us this morning from washington with her insight. Hadley, nice to see you this morning. Nice to see you, good morning, clayton. Insurers are worried not only is the pool of people signing up this point too small of a pool that shape of the pool can be imbalanced. Only the most persistent and desperate users are getting through. In most cases these are the sickest americans. People are the highest healthcare costs. Meanwhile young and healthy americans may not want to take the extra time and frustration to go through technological hiccups. Listen to nancy pelosi saying yesterday its a technical problem. Its not a structural problem with obama care. Once we get some of the technical problems worked out with the back end of this thing, everything will be fine. What do you say to. I do hope they fix the web sites and less of a technological headaches for americans to have to enroll or face a penalty. The problem with obama care yes, technologically things can be packed and fixed and rebooted. You cannot fix some the laws broken economic incentives. Thats why the subsidy structure is so complex. Late in the game decision from the administration to force people to give their personal information, including income before seeing any prices this plans is add toghtd complication. But those subsidies are not going to work in the long run to lower costs. We understand insurers are getting some of the wrong data from obama what care. What exactly are they getting in addition to duplicate enrollments . Sometimes seeing spouses enrolled as children. Sometimes think are getting enrollments and cancellations. What was meant to be an Automated System has now turned into a manual system where insurers are having to hire temporary workers even to give phone calls to it each of the new enrollees and make sure each of their information is correct. Auto frayed this model simply wont scale up when the number of enroll heees is projected to be in the millions. What should happen . Should the Obama Administration pull the web site down, tank it for a while, build it from the ground up and relaunch it . What do you think . Well, this has been suggested by even some strong supporters of the law because this is an embarrassment to the Obama Administration, makes the Health Reform law look bad. Coming up here, two teens charged after bullying a girl so badly that she committed suicide. Now, one of the bullies parents facing unrelated charges. Should she be held for the girls death too . Oh boy im falling. Everybody look out ahhhhh. Ugh. Little help here. Geico. Fifteen minutes could save you. Well, you know. Anybody . 53 minutes after the hour. In the florida bully suicide case. The mother of the 14yearold suspect now faces charges of her own in an unrelated case. Vivian vossberg is charged with child abuse neglect after this video appeared on facebook. We warn you it is graphic. But it appears to show her beating children inside her home. This 14yearold tormented rebecca, our victim, for 10 months. The whole time, we have our 14yearold victims family, the stepmother and the father saying oh my child would never do that she has never bullied anybody. Well you can see exactly what was going on in that house with at least vivian and those children. Well, here is the question this morning. Is this new Development Going to be impacting the case against her daughter in the suicide of Rebecca Sedgwick . You are all for prosecuting the parents. We should have started this a long time ago. Right now there is no law on the book that sians liability to parents bullies. This case might be impetus to that bullies are not born. They are made. This is learned behavior. You dont merge from the womb a bully. The teachers have to teach you that or neglect to teach you how to it be a decent human being. The video they just showed is disgusting. Thats a mother beating the stuffing out of children. By the way, its caught on video and she has no apologies . I mean i have seen her interviewed on the air. She has no apologies for anything. This woman is in complete denial. My daughter didnt do anything wrong and neither did i. But remy, can you you really charge someone for being unfit mother . Well, we have all kinds of laws. We have civil laws. We have family laws. We have criminal laws. You cannot charge a parent for conduct of a child for which the parent has absolutely no role or responsibility in. Imagine being responsible for something that your child does they are not even aware of. However, what we saw in that video is a parent or an individual acting in a criminal manner. She was beating on children. So she has been charged in a separate case. Its not the same case that her daughter is involved in. If there is a link between the mother and the child in the bullying case, then, yes, jona is right she needs to be held responsible in a criminal court is it criminal or negligent . Is it a poor parenting skill . Is it a woman that should be responsible for going to Parenting Classes in the family system as opposed to the criminal system . Jona, what about a failure to act . If parents are warned by teachers or other parents i want to show this Facebook Post that came from one of the alleged bullies says, yes, i bullied rebecca, and killed and she killed herself, but i dont give a, you know what. If the parents dont act is, there something they could be charged with . Well, lets hope so, because ignorance is not bliss it comes to being the parent of a bully. If you are asleep and you are a parent and your child takes the car and kills somebody you are libel. In a civil case. Not in the a criminal case. This is getting a lot of people fired up oned mia coons too. 56 minutes after the hour. Frantic manhunt underway for two killers who walked out of prison. They forged the judges signature. The judge whose signature was forged had this to say about what happened. Whoever examined those documents, did not examine those documents with a fine tooth comb, did not verify that those documents were, in fact, genuine, did not question anything since these cases have been affirmed on appeal and just went about releasing them. Now we have learned that the inmates registered as released felons at another jail after they escaped. How did the authorities get duped so badly. Well, lets ask Florida Defense attorney jose baez, good morning. Good morning. Whats your initial reaction to this . I mean, these guys are both serving life sentences for murder and now they are on the run are. To tell you the truth, im not surprised. I would be surprised if these were if this was an isolated case. I think an investigation should be done. And they should go back. Remember, there are tons of jail house lawyers who know how to handle complex appeals on their own pro se. So, to actually file motion with attached orders is really relatively simple process. How incompetent is the the clerical staff at this prison to fall for this ruse. I dont think its as much a problem with the prison as it is in the actual criminal justice system. The state level. I think there should be other verification processes in place. Other than the victims act. Florida statute 1960 which is how this got caught. It was the notification of the victim that made that brought all of this to life. Judge, you know well belvin perry whom you just heard there of course in the sound bite there he presided over your trial, the Casey Anthony trial, said that the whole system is lax and that there is a problem systemically with the florida law. Specifically the florida law they have to register as felons upon being released from the courthouse. So, is that the problem . No. I dont think thats the problem. You know, i disagree, once again, with judge perry on several issues here. I do think that this should have been a process that was caught at the Clerks Office. There should have been procedural protections in place to prevent Something Like this from happening. And there havent. For it to fall on the victims of crime actually notify the courts and clerks that there is something is wrong, its pretty pathetic. It needs to be held accountable here so this doesnt continue to happen . I think the Clerks Office speeds to be held accountable. There should be a process once something is filed, there should be a verification process. You just cant get anybody from the United States to go file a motion on a specific cases there has to be a procedure set in place to know that when documents are being filed theyre being filed authentically. You would think there would be all kinds of redundant checks here to make sure this didnt happen. These inmates have the rest are of their lives to sneak out of prison. Somebody should have anticipated this, no . Under the guidelines were previously. A man riding a bicycle in oklahoma could file a motion in florida actually try to get somebody released from prison. You you know, it is like i said earlier i would be shocked if this were the only case. Amazing. Jose baez we appreciate you joining us this morning. Fascinating. Thanks for having me. Thanks, jose. A recent poll Shows Congress Approval Rating dropping to 10 since the beginning of that gridlock and hundreds of thousands of people have signed petitions demanding that congressman return the paychecks they received during those 16 days. Should congressman give that money back . One already did. New jersey congressman frank september his personal check for 16 days of his salary back to the u. S. Treasury. Joining us now to debate whether that was a good idea. Fox news contributor contributing editor and writer for the american conservative magazine the great Jim Pinkerton and ellen rattner, Fox News Contributor and the bureau chief for talk radio news service. Welcome to you both ellen, we think of pay for something you get for performing a service. What service did congress perform that they should be paid . Well, you know, we may not like the shut down but they were working and trying to negotiate days and days and days during their shut down. Doing their own Office Phones because even interns couldnt work. Oh, wow. I think they should get that salary. For answering their own phones. Thats incredible. Should they get bonuses they actually picked them up and answered them. Americans should reflect on the fact that two weeks pay for a congressman is a thousand dollars. I just remind you not only is congressional approval at 10 as your poll indicated according to the the pew center confidence in the federal government is 19 . We can stretch out from the shutdown to the fiasco of obama care. This morning in the the Washington Post was a cartoon of the obama care plan as the hindenburg the famous zeppelin that blew up in new jersey in the 1930s. One of the greatest catastrophes of all time. A great analogy why is Kathleen Sebelius getting her full paycheck and all the geniuses at obama ha care operation that dreamed up that plan which has led to so much sexualization for americans. You think what the congressman has done is start a useful precedent of other people saying, you know, i have done a lousy job. I should take a pay cut. He did it for political advantage. Ellen, hold on. I see your point. I dont think your point is crazy. But will you concede its a bit of a scam congressman getting Life Pensions after one term, two years. Lets change the way we do congress. Thats a very different situation. Frankly they worked those two weeks. They ought to to get paid. They do very well financially. There is no question about that. However, to give back money is just a political trick. But, isnt it doesnt jim symbolism matter . Isnt this a kind of a symbol that we ought to embrace . Stop policing us . Stop taking our money for doing nothing symbolism matters. Leadership why example. This is a corrupt and rotten system and im going to be the first to change it and maybe by the power of my own example other people will follow me. No ellen wont. What do you think of the fact that in the legislation that reopened the government Frank Lautenberg one of the richest members of the United States senate. Are you for that, too . You know, if we have a death benefit and that is part of what you get for being a member of Congress Like do you if you get an insurance payment, if you work for many corporations i think thats acceptable, yes. Look, i dont think necessarily we should be having these guys there, full time there, whatever, whatever, but we do and they are entitled to it. That comes with what he expected if she wants to give the money away, thats her choice. So the scam continues. Troublinger . Jim, i will give you the last word 10 seconds. What you are hearing here is business as usual. If you like the status quo and 10 of americans do then you are all for giving benefits to millionaire congressman widows. When do you know that you are crossing the line. Author lisa miller wrote a compelling article this week. She writes this. While the kitty raced to the top among the most competitive people may elicit the most grotesque behaviors. All kinds of parents seize advantage for their kids when they can. The very state of being a parent on secures clear ethical reasoning. Are parents going beyond ethical boundaries or is this Good Parenting . Lets bring in our panel this morning. Lisa, grown and flown parenting from the empty nest. Freelance writer and dr. Kirsten. Nice to see you this morning. Isnt this a fight against natural impulse to be a good parent . I think like all moms, we all want whats best for our children there is a line between whats best for your child and essentially stealing from other peoples children. Could you relate to this . I mean on a personal level . Does this hit home for you . A little bit. As parents we are going to do everything we can for our kids. We will give you a quick personal story my son who was in kindergarten comes home and says mom hows come are turning 7 before i turn six. Some parents will hold their kids back, oftentimes. His response isnt that cheating . Im not saying thats cheating. Sometimes we need to look at what were doing in the eyes of our children. Not just for us. That are if i hold my child back one year thats going to give them a leg up and they will be much more likely to get a great job. They will be admitted maybe to a Better College as a result of that all these parents jumping on bandwagon to give their kids a leg up. Isnt that Good Parenting. I think a lot of people look at a child who is immature, not ready to start school and really thinking about whats best for their child, not really the more sinister motive that you mentioned from the book. Take a look at some other examples we have here on 00 screen. We will throw father coaching childs Little League team. Coaching them thats a nice thing but getting their kid to play clean up like on the field. Parents completing their childs homework at night. Doing it for them. Not even allowing them to do it. Using connections to get their child into a Better College. So, some of that seems nefarious and some of it seems like a natural thing. I think certain pockets of the country arms race. The author talks about the war of parenthood. I think there is a little bit of an arms race going on. You see some people hiring a tutor. You want a tutor for your child. But i think most parents are not this way. These are the outliers. What about i mean, doc, how are we supposed to how are we supposed to parent in this way . How do we know we have crossed the line . We let our kids tell us they want to join talk qana doe, not do their home . There is not always a fine line. When it comes to homework, for example, im all for it it of course we want to help our kids do homework. Sitting at home doing it for them. I dont know how many do that to be honest with you. If we are, we are not setting a good example for our children as they transition into adolescence and adulthood. They need personal responsibility. Figure it out yourself. One of the things she describes in this piece she calls parenthood a war. Its its a battle that rages and we lose our moral compass during. I think thats the fallacy in the argument. We know right from wrong. We learned it when we were children. That compass is deep within us. Just because we have become parents that doesnt change us at all. Final word, jennifer . I think we have to realize the lessons we are giving our children. If you want your lesson to be what you do is not good enough so mommy has to do your homework, then thats the lesson that child is going to have for the rest of their lives. See if someone else would do my work around here for me. Dave, do you want to host the show over there. Do you want to do it, dave . Our thanks to lisa. We also have sorry, dr. Take a look at the maps. I will show you a very nice morning across areas of new england. This is from lake willow be, vermont. The far northeastern corner of vermont. Canada and new hampshire. Spectacular shot right there. 38 degrees as you are waking up. And it will get to 61 degrees today. Chance of a shower. Not a washout for your day though. Keep sending me your pictures. Im Rick Reichmuth on twitter. Put them on my Facebook Page so we can keep showing you. Fall looking great right now. Here is your first alert forecast across the northeast today. Picture city and look at your time. Starting at 9 00 and go throughout the day and you will see a front moving in from the west and begins to kind of weaken by the time it gets to the coast. See mostly clear. Not rainy skies across the coastal areas clouds much of the day as well. Down to the southeast we have had rain we are seeing across the central gulf. That front will continue to pull off the east. Cooling things down behind it dry things out as well. Of the day only in the 50s and 60s across much of the Southern Plains, into the Northern Plains we have got that snow we are going to deal with across areas of minnesota and wisconsin. Behind it, still cool, not horribly cold air that colder air comes in by tuesday. Out across the west. Sunny skies and temperatures spectacular for almost everyone out west. So enjoy that one. All right, guys. Send it back to you inside. Rick, real quick, have you gone to the Grocery Store lately . Yesterday, i think. Do you notice like the section they have been adding to the Grocery Store . New york Grocery Stores dont have enough space to have a section for men. Maybe its the higher part. Target Grocery Stores, new products from like General Mills and other Companies Getting on the bandwagon of trying to target to men because men are now doing more of the Grocery Shopping in the household than ever before. I had no idea target had a Grocery Store. If you go to target great land. Super target. Thats my nightmare. I went to a Grocery Store once in the late 1990s looking for a mens room and paperrized by the choices there were like 19 kinds of pringles. I fled and. The last time this guy was ever in a Grocery Store. Does that say that women are able to look at all of those choices and make a distinct decision. Thats exactly right. They can can go in there and do what they want. Average man stranded like on a desert island. Appalling cultural spiral downward if men are actually going to the Grocery Store. I dont believe this story by the way. Probably false. Especially because yogurt something. Ay be in like a they are starting to change things to make the labeling appeal more to men. Cider with stronger alcohol content. Strong black coffee served in bottles similar to beer. Yogurt brantded as high protein rather than frozen or greek. My favorite one is now changing the labels you go to the shampoo section or soap. Theyre putting labels in black to appeal to men because otherwise, what, we wouldnt buy soap . We cant handle a white box . Oh thats a manly bar of soap. If they want to get me to the Grocery Store sell four products make it really really easy. Now that there is Online Shopping why would you go to the Grocery Store . That view. I enjoy the shopping with my wife. She gets frustrated any time i shop with her the bill is 40 bucks higher. You you dont really go to a Grocery Store. I didnt believe it for a second. I spend too much time there. I walk the aisles because all these choices. You have a good idea there if women would quit having to feel like mary poppins. Maybe they would have time to be hot for their husbands. I think its hot for men to do Grocery Shopping. Least hot thick you could do. Honey, should i do all the shopping . I will buy cheese and chips . Go to twitter this morning and weigh in. We have our ff weekend is our hash tag on twitter. You can also follow us on facebook on our facebook account ff weekend as well. Who is the better grocery shopper in your house . Men or the women . Weigh in. Its not a tough one. Under the new healthcare exchanges, millennials may have to pay a whopping 250 per month for basic insurance. And thats way more than they would have paid before Health Reform was implemented. Success of the new law dependsen othe Younger Generation to offset the cost of older, sicker patients. But with Young Americans burrenned with such high prices why would they even want to be part of this new system. Lets ask campus reform. Com. Thank you for joining us. Thanks for having me. Just to be clear, obama care cannot work unless people who dont need healthcare pay for health insurance, right . Exactly. Thats why obama is trying so hard with all these celebrity gains to try to convince young people to sign up there is no Natural Market incentive for young people to sign up. 8 a of young people they would spend less just paying out of pocket and paying the penalty than paying for obama care. There is no market incentive to encourage people so he is spending people to try to get jayz to encourage people. Campus reform, we are talking to a lot of people who are very offended by that young people insulted by that strategy. You have a real pulse on everything thats going on there with young people. Unemployment is higher for young people making it harder to find entry level positions. We are always talking to young people. 36 of millennials are still living under their parents roof. Given all of that they are expected to bear the brunt of obama care. They cant afford it right now at all. They are the last group. Making rational decisions about this. If the premium is 250 bucks a month. The penalty of course is much less than that why wouldnt most young people say i will pay the penalty . Its cheaper . Most are. And especially the web site is so difficult to figure out. Its impossible to do. And im a young person myself. I personally dont have any friends that i have talked to that are signing up. So i dont know what they are going to do if young people dont buy into this. They are not going to have enough money to pay for the older sicker people. They have to increase fines. Im not sure. Interesting to see what happens. With this web site being so tough for people to sign up, isnt it ironic that you can be fined for not signing up when you cant really sign up . I tried to sign up. They are still going to fine you. Its very very difficult. I looked at it yesterday with a bunch of just weird html stuff it wasnt a real web site. This is getting to be kind of a joke. And its offensive to me as a young person and to a lot of other young people that, you know, he is forcing this on us. Just to be clear, the u. S. Government spent more to develop this web site, which doesnt work than twitter or facebook spent to develop theirs. You mentioned that most older people have their own homes, most younger people dont. Younger people are the poorest segment of our society. Older people are the richest. This is is a massive transfer of wealth is it not from the poor to the rich . Its a massive transfer of wealth in the wrong direction. Student loan debt. Very very difficult time finding jobs. Its going to be even harder because of obama care making employers, making it more difficult to higher entry level employees. It keeps getting worse and worse for young people and obama is not helping. 3. 7 million Young Americans if they dont sign up, this may not work. Exactly. Thank you for your time today. Thanks for having me. Now they can. One San Francisco company is giving football fans the chance by selling shares of the nfl superstar, so how exactly does this work . Joining us now is the president of Penn Financial matt, a friend of the show. Nice to see you. Nice to see you. Im not too bright here. Explain to me like im a 3yearold. How does this work . I can invest in my favorite player . Exactly. What arian foster is saying is i am willing to give up 20 of my future earnings whether it be through my contract with the Houston Texans or endorsements or if i become a broadcaster 20 years after that in exchange for 20 million. We can say i believe arian foster is going to make hundreds of millions of dollars in the future through football and endorsements and broadcasting, whatever it may be. I want to invest in him and give him some money and as his value goes up so does the value of the share in the player that you purchased. Have you ever seen anything like this . No. I read this, david bowie back in the day sold bowie bonds to invest in bowie, i didnt hear much after that, but this is the first athlete to do this. Is this something you might advise one of your clients to add to your portfolio, you have oil stocks, maybe you bought apple stock and why dont you buy joe montana . I would not. This is something as risky as it gets. Arian foster, i played football in college, hes the stud of my team and i hope he does well, but i would not actually put my hard earned money into a human being like this. But i will say if you look at stocks to find the value, the next big up and comer, Andrew Wiggins who will be playing at kansas, basketball, coming up this year, hes touted as the next lebron james, adidas is talking about giving him a 180 million contract, if you invest in somebody like at 14 years old, ive heard rumors about this, investing in Young Children like this, this might be something we hear in the future, invest in someone at a young age. Im confused, because you go on the new york stock exchange, you see the different symbols for different gcompanies that youre investing in, ge, et cete cetera, where do you see arian foster . John elway is a part of this, its a bit legitimate, john elway the hall of f of the company and you might have to go through something private like that to buy and sell and the value of your arian foster stock would depend on how well hes doing and the next big contract. If he gets hurt obviously his shares fall, so you have to watch him every day to make sure this guys okay. If you have that much money in him, id want to carry him to practice every day to make sure he doesnt trip and hurt his knee. You are running this curfew as well. Exactly. What about eli manning, i know we have a lot of giants fans in the studio, eli manning, would you invest in that guy . Eli manning, no. Im an eagles fans and im not going near that. Is this a trend in football or any other sports . I dont think it will work when it comes to sports because of injuries and Everything Else out there. But i do believe, i talked to a friend of mine who wrote a novel, at a bar across the street from here about four years ago, he wanted people to invest in him and hed give them future profits in a novel and i think this is an idea ten or 15 years from now people need money to do their dreams. And our director said golfers. They have long careers. They are just hitting the ball. They wont get injured. Imagine tiger woods when he was on Johnny Carson at 6 years old, invest in that kid and give him some money, it could catch on. Thank you so much, matt. Coming up, your tax dollars at work. Planned parenthood helped to reassure teens being promiscuous is no big deal. Governor huckabee is fired up about this and hes live at the top of the hour. At this hour a frantic manhunt under way for two killers who walked right out of prison after a judges signature was forged. The same one who presided over Casey Anthonys case and weve just learned they duped the cops twice. How could the clerk have misread the red flags . Well be talking about that. Congress and the white house have reached a debt deal, but the spending . Its reaching record heights and wheres all the tax money going . Weve got details on that. And also governor huckabee is going to be sitting right here with us on the couch in moments to talk about some of the big stories of the day and preview his big show thats coming up. Fox friends hour number three starts right now. Oh, hey, you know, we didnt get to show you this video, take a look at this. This is a Soccer Player he had everyone fooled with this ball. Watch this. Its sort of a tricky video thing with his girlfriend. Went from tears to worry, oh, no its all fake. Its all fake. And then he proposes to her. Come on, thats cool this is awful. Cruel and unusual. Oh. Thats like the people who fight just so they can make up but times 100. All right. Looks like she said yes, though, so dont worry. People fight just so they can make up. Its really a movie. Wow. Remember to like our Facebook Page, facebook. Com ffweekend. We asked you questions this morning and you are all weighing in. We start with a fox news alert, alshabazz strikes again this time a suicide bombing in somalia, 12 people are dead and another 10 others wounded after a bomb exploded inside a small crowded restaurant. Alshabazz is the same group behind the kenyan mall attack last month has reportedly taken responsibility. In another fox news alert we are learning about two killers, Joseph Jenkins and Charles Walker went to an orlando jail and registered as felons after their escape which is a requirement under florida law. The two were even fingerprinted and photographed, but no red flags were ever raised because their release paperwork had been processed. The men were mistakenly freed from prison last month on forged documents. This should have been a process that was caught at the Clerks Office. There should have been procedural protections in place to prevent Something Like this from happening and there isnt. And for it to fall on the victims of crimes to actually notify the court and the clerks that theres something wrong, its pretty pathetic. And both men were serving life sentences. Now on the run. Laser danger the fbi is asking the public for help in trying to find out whos pointing lasers in the cockpits of incoming planes. There were two incidents at new Yorks Laguardia airport last week. The fbi said laser pointers are dangerous to pilots and they can even cause serious injuries like a burned retina. Anyone caught pointing lasers at planes could be charged and 11,000 per violation is what they could be getting. And hes known for his quirky socks, but former president george h. W. Bush said his wife has had enough of them, so hes donating a particularly flashy one to charity, to get one shown in the picture with former president bill clinton, they will be auctioned off in a fundraising event for the catholic diocese. Would you buy someones used socks . You had a couple up on ebay. Pu. Its a whole different business. At that point shes still making him get rid of his socks . Honey, how many years have you been married . Honey, there are holes in these, come on. That could be the case. Maybe thats it. Heres what it looks like when you wake up this morning. Really cold air has settled in across parts of the Southern Plains and temps in the upper 20s across the panhandle of texas. 44 as you wake up in dallas. Its all behind this front right here moving through. It will continue to bring some rain showers as it slowly moves off toward the east. Well see a bit of a cloudy day, some showers at time and nobody has heavy rainfall from this. Thats good news and no flooding concerns or anything like that. Out west a spectacular day, and your week is nice for much of the west coast. A couple of unsettled weekends there and not the case for the next four to five days. This is the bigger storm across the Northern Plains and the white stuff is snow and well continue to see that cycle through here for the next 24 to 48 hours and by the end of it well see maybe up to about 3 inches of snow and maybe well see a spot or two, maybe a little bit more than that. But for the most part just a dusting of snow across the great lakes and Northern Plains and in towards the great lakes. Here you go, the temperatures for your day, warm across parts of southern florida and the rest everybody is starting to cool down. Thank you, rick. Guess who is joining us is governor mike huckabee. The brightest spot of our saturday morning. Its a pretty dull saturday morning if im the bright spot. Better now. You are shining a ray of sunshine on what is sort of an otherwise mess of a deal, weve got the get deal. In fact, its just delaying it until february, right now were sort of riding pretty without any sort of a debt deal and in one day we managed to rack up more than 3 billion in of debt in one day. Is it a good move, governor . Its nuts, come on. The whole debt deal was supposed to make sure we didnt default, but what it doesnt really explain is how can we continue to spend money we dont have, borrow money that we have no idea how to pay back, and call that fiscal sanity . For all the people who said we just cant let this debt ceiling go unlifted because, i mean, after all, it would be terrible not to raise the debt ceiling. Has anyone talked about how terrible it is that we keep raising it . Remember when barack obama said in 2006 it was irresponsible and unpatriotic to raise it when it was 9 trillion and now its 17 trillion and clifeming . Is it still unpatriotic and irresponsible or did it suddenly become a great idea since hes the president and hes the one raising it and hes the one that is now getting close to doubling what was a record debt when he took office. Meanwhile, theyre telling us, the white house is tells us month after month, theres no inflation, were not worried about inflation. Anyone that goes to buy anything notices that things are much more expensive. There are consequences to this kind of debt load, are there not . The most serious issue is i think they think the debt is all we can afford, when you artificially raise it, its like a credit card that youre maxed out on. People understand this. And youve maxed out. You have no more money, you cant pay your bills, youre busted. What do you do . Get another credit card. Does that make any kind of sense . No. At what point will it start making sense to people and will we demand that things change and vote elected officials into office that will change it . No, probably not, anna. The sad thing is people are now used to the idea that the government can give me something for free and were living in the world in which, you know, three phones. I think were going to go from obama care to obama car, thats next. Everybody will get a car. Like oprah. We have a right to a car just like we have a right to Everything Else. An electric car. An electric car, thats right. Produced in finland by fiskars after we subsidize them. And winter thrown in to boot. Lets think about this, you think everyones tightening their belts, right . Were not only in fiscal trouble, were in the middle of a war. Weve got a war on, were all tightening our belts and everyone has made great sacrifices in the country. And the government doing it as well. And the outrageous conferences that are taking place by the hhs and the irs also doing big conferences. 56 million spent on 135 separate conferences. What do you make of this . Take a look at this. This is ridiculous, governor. 56 million by hhs. Add to this what the irs, what the gsas done, youve got these Government Agencies that seem to feel like that, you know, there is no recession. Theres no economic issue. And for frankly, for government, there isnt. But think of all the companies and corporations, and im talking Big Companies and corporations, that have greatly scaled back their conferences and their conventions. Ask cities like new orleans and las vegas that normally host conferences, the fact that Big Companies that theyre used to seeing bring hundreds now bring dozens. Youre right about that. I go to ces in las vegas at the beginning of january and you have cabdrivers who tell me its terrible right now. Conferences arent showing up here anymore and the amount of companies that are coming arent coming. Yeah. But look at these conferences, one of them is a diversity workshop on increasing diversity in americas nursing staff, that may be a good idea or a bad idea, why is it the governments business the racial composition of nursing staffs . Why are they paying money . Because somebodys paid pretty good money to think of conferences. Go to meeting is an inexpensive way to have a meeting, you can videoconference. Pretty effective. There are many different ways to teleconference. Theres a personal value in networking, but if you look at the expenses of a lot of the conferences to travel to hotels and meals and when they start doing the crazy stuff like putting together the star trek videos like the irs did, you look at that and you think about the family of four sitting at home, they are buying the store brand cereal, the most generic they can and they have to really cut back and theyre not going to go out to eat any this week and they are sitting there watching and saying, lets see, i am paying for that. Somethings wrong with this picture and it is. Instead of star trek maybe well see star wars out of hhs, maybe well start to see videos out of them, too. What should they spend their money on . How about the obama care website that has all the flaws, maybe we should have been spending the 56 million on that . Probably. We spent 634 million to launch a website that doesnt work. Imagine if any private company had done this. Interestingly, though, as were beginning to find out, this was a crony deal. Jennifer teale is one of the primary architects who is also the person who ran the obama Digital Campaign in 2008. So, she gets a contract for i think its, like, 60 something million, shes a major part of this. Other companies were given 20 million contracts jacked up to 93 million. If you look at these vendors, guess what they have in common . Theyre all connected politically to the obama organization, to his political team. This doesnt look, obama care doesnt work and its not gonna work, it doesnt actually make sense. Isnt this a prelude to single pair, how long before the left says, do you know what, lets put the government in charge of all health care. That was their plan all along, they didnt get it. They didnt sabotage their plan, i think it was fundamentally flawed. Even if you can fix the website you havent fixed obama care because its based on a faulty economic premise that youll assume that a number of young and Healthy People will be willing to pay for old and sick people and you make some presumptions that simply economically are absolutely off the charts crazy. For the first time in her life nancy pelosi disagrees with you. She said the website is not the structural problem. Your show tonight, youve got a really compelling story 8 00 p. M. Here on the fox news channel, the guy who wrote a beautiful song about his wife, married 75 years. Yeah. His name is fred stowbaugh, and he wrote a marvelous letter, a song to his wife a month after she died, theyd been together 75 years. He wrote a wonderful song and some young guys in his community put it to music. Well have the musicians and well have fred. Its a powerful story. The song is called sweet lorraine. And it went viral and itunes picked it up and it became one of the top ten songs on itunes. 8 00, well be watching. Thank you. See you later. A brandnew benghazi bombshell and a whole new set of questions about what the house knew about the security situation before the attack that killed four americans. Colonel tony shafer is here next. A brandnew benghazi bombshell, but dont ask the white house about it. I wonder if you could tell us more about what those meetings entailed, who the participants were, how closely vetted that or thoroughly vetted thatpression release was and when the white house might be willing to make available either to congressional investigators and or to the public the emails and memos and other sort of paperwork that was associated with the development of that press release. It is clear because four americans died on that day that there was not adequate security, and that was revealed in the accountability review board and i would simply say when it comes to, and i know that were creating an exchange here for fox and im mindful of that. What were engaged in here is not for fox, its for the record. Would you be willing to make any of the documents associated with the press release available as we did with the susan rice talking points . I think were done here. I think were done here, oh, but were not done here. The questions remain including how much did the white house know about the security situation in benghazi before the deadly attacks that resulted in the murders of four americans, lets ask colonel tony shaffer, thanks a lot for joining us this morning. We know that ambassador stevens before he was murdered in libya asked for increased security from the white house and instead the security detail was cut by twothirds. Do we have any sense now why that happened and why there wasnt air cover that night . No. Frankly Katherine Herridge was the first report which talked about the security situation which by the way according to the information on the message itself showed it went all the way to the top. This is part of the problem, tucker, its not so much a political issue is that its an accountability issue and this is where i think people tend to try to throw it off as a left right issue. Its a right wrong issue. People died that night and frankly we planned the invasion of grenada and implemented it in eight hours in 83 and somehow the Security Forces werent properly aligned and what now james rosen was alluding to, someone put a poison pill into the public narrative. Its important to find out who exactly put the poison pill in there, the poison pill being the offensive video which became the throwaway for distracting people from what really happened and i think we are owed answers no matter who we are. Its just so frustrating and theres so many questions that arent answered, why the white house lied about the cause and why havent we apprehended the guys that did it, et cetera, et cetera. Why continue can gres force the administration to answer the basic questions . We have the right to the answers, do we not . We are. Having been in the center of a controversy like this back in 2005, simply telling congress the truth and weve had whistleblowers go forward to do that, tucker, its not easy to get the documents out of the administration and, again, any administration. I was a whistleblower against the Bush White House for things that happened before they came in to watch. This isck rossi issue. The bureaucracy will go about trying to convince those in power that they need to be protected and even secretary of defense rumsfeld said he was lied to personally about the issues i was testifying to. Its a wise point. You have to live in washington to know how true it is what you just said, colonel tony shaffer, thank you for being here. Authorities say a girl was bullied to death. The mother of the 14yearold suspect arrested and facing charges of her own after this video surfaced of her beating other children. And ever thought about lasik surgery . Pope francis who is, of course, multilingual released his first public message in english yesterday. Hes fluent in spanish, italian, he speaks some latin, french and portuguese. Anna . Cool. All right. 25 minutes after the hour now. Got lasik eye surgery, i saw you yesterday, your eyes were a little bit red, but, boy, they have certainly cleared up. Someone asked me on twitter, how hung over are you . I might be hung over, but i had surgery as well. I decided to take you all behind the scenes with me. Bring the cameras along. Its something i wanted to do for a lot of years but now the technology is so advanced, i was less scared about it. Take a look. One thing you might not know about me when i sit on the set of fox friends i cant see anything. I cant look down at my notes and make sense of it, i cant see the teleprompter or look across and see one of our guests in front of the cameras so i decided to visit one best ophthalmologists in new jersey to see if im a candidate for lasik surgery. Ive had it. Now that you have my test results, do i look good . Everything looks normal for you. But i just want to review a couple of points about the eyes anatomy so that you understand exactly what the procedures all about. The eye is basically a photo receptor, so what we do with laser vision correction is actually change the curvature of the front surface. We do that with two lasers. The first laser makes thousands actually millions of what we call cavtation bubbles in the cornea. The surface of the cornea is lifted and the other laser makes the fractional correction, and the surface is placed back down again. Recently dr. Oz had a special about lasik. The worlds most popular elective surgery, lasik. What do you say to those who are concerned there are potential downfalls of lasik . First of all, you need to look at the data that hes talking about. A lot of that data was accumulated with Older Technology. The decision whether or not to have lasik is an important one. How has the technology changed . We used to use a mechanical device to lift up the surface. With the new Laser Technology that we use and the precise depth that we can calculate, we dont go as deep as we used to. First lasers we used were very good but theyre not even close to what we use now. This is my eye . Yep. So, this is a topographical map. When you are looking at these two different eye balls, one of them has to be reshaped to a completely different way than the other. Laser takes this into account in getting an optically correct surface. So, for example, it will put more laser treatment here and less here but eventually youll see after the surgery it will all be green. When i get this surgery and im on the set of fox friends and i look across at tucker, will he look more or less handsome now that ive gotten my surgery . Thats in the eye of the beholder. Okay. He can only help so much. The next step is surgery. For us to see. All right. Im a little nervous. Im here at the laser eye center. Time to go do this. Come on. Come on in. Youre going to be lying right here between the two laiders. Were lasers. Well swing you back and forth between the two. Move you out underneath the laser. And when you get up, things are going to be kind of like youre looking underwater. Thats normal. You okay . You can om your eyes. You can open your eyes. You can open up. Very good. All right. Very good. Let me take this cap off. Come on out here. Let me take a look at you under the microscope. How do my eyes look . New eyes. Decided to put them to the test. Great job. That was three days ago. You are a brave man for real. I know this is a common surgery. Id be terrified to do it. Does he look more handsome . He does, striking. The reason i decided to do it id been thinking about it for years because the Technology Advanced so much. I talked to karl rove who said ive heard about problems with it, but thats because of the Older Technology where they would physically remove the cap and now with the mechanical device its all laser and the effects hast f s last for years. How long does it last . Now it can go further than ten years with the new Laser Technology and it felt like cold air on my eye and 24 minutes later i was done. 24 minutes. Go home, take a nap for two hours and youre done after that. Pretty remarkable. Back at work. If anyone has any questions about it, a lot of people on twitter, Clayton Morris on twitter, ill answer ul your questions if you are thinking about having it done. It happened on the set of homeland. You okay . Great scene in that show. Now we know the deVice President dick cheney believed this could actually happen to him. The stunning new revelation coming up. When we made our commitment to the gulf, bp had two big goals help the gulf recover and learn from what happened so we could be a better, safer energy company. I can tell you safety is at the heart of everything we do. Weve added cuttingedge technology, like a new deepwater well cap and a stateoftheart monitoring center, whe experts watch over all drilling activity twentyfourseven. And were sharing what weve learned, so we can all produce energy more safely. Our commitment has never been stronger. Because an empty pan is a blank canvas. [ woman 2 ] to share a moment. Its National Pizza month. Oh, thank heaven. On the plaza. Its not just ntd, its ntm, and Rick Reichmuth is learning how to toss pizza dough with special guests. Good morning. Here to show us how its done is brian stevens, you are the cfo of marcos pizza franchise, the fastestgrowing pizza franchise in the country. Yes, it is. Well quadruple in the next 60 months. What makes marcos pizza great . It really starts with our founders recipe. He set out to actually make simply the best pizza in his words and it starts with our dough that youll be tossing with today. I see people eating the pizza, is it good . Very good. You have people on your side. You toss this pizza. Tell me how to do it. Ill show you real quick. People who do this at home use a rolling pin. And this is better than that . Yeah. Youre touching and feeling the dough, so this is a lot better. When you get the dough in a little while, youll take it in your hands. Can i do it with this . Yes. Okay. You throw it back and forth. Okay. Why are you laughing . Turning your wrists over. How come its not breaking. I dont get why this is not breaking. Run your fingers through it. Yeah, exactly. Actually feel it kind of getting bigger in size. Uhhuh. Youll take your screen here. Dont i toss it up in the air . Yeah, well do that here in a second. All right. Keep stretching it. All right. Lets pretend its stretched. Okay. And then youll start flipping. Two hands. Make sure you turn it. Two hands and turn it. Flip it off your wrists. There you go. Hey. All right so just turning it. You want to see it oh, oh is that turning, what does it do to it . You stretch it out so you can put it on the screen. After you get it to the size you want it i think that that might be the size but its not quite that pretty. All right. And then its about sauce and cheese. Yes. Sauce and cheese. We do fresh cheese, special recipe sauce and that makes that perfect pizza. Okay. Time to try it. Guys, i think there is enough, ill bring you some inside. I think the police are coming to arrest you for that terrible throwing. Its too delicious you violated a city law. Its not something im proud of. All right, thank you, rick. These job, thank you. 36 minutes after the hour now. Could terrorists really hack a pacemaker . You okay . You watch the show homeland you know that was a scene from it. But it turns out it may not be complete fiction. We just learned during his time as Vice President dick cheney had his doctor disable the wireless function of his pacemaker because he was worried about that same thing. He has a history of heart trouble suffering his first heart attack at the age of 37, he said when he watched that episode of homeland it hit close to home. Nba legend bill russell busted at the seattle airport with a loaded gun. He was arrested when he attempted to pass through security with a pistol in his luggage. The gun was confiscated and the 79yearold russell was cited for having a weapon in a prohibited area and released. Heres a unique way to propose. Fake an injury the Soccer Player in california pretended to be hurt on the field, but when his girlfriend came over to see if he was okay, he got down on one knee to pop the question. Cruel. Oh, well, whatever the method, it worked, because she said yes. I think that is, yes, cruel and unusual punishment, agreed. What if he were really hurt, too. Hed been practicing that one. I dont know if thats a good idea. All right. So, we want to switch gears a little bit and talk about the mother of the florida bully suspect anyway, the 14yearold who has been suspected of having these harassing emails to this 15yearold who ultimately committed suicide, the mother is now facing charges in something else, an unrelated case. Weve got some disturbing video we want to show you, it just surfaced and its of this woman pummelling two teenagers, so what were asking this morning, is this an indication where she could potentially be charged for the teenagers suicide as well . So, can the parent of a child who is bullied, another child, who commits suicide, could they be charged . It seems convoluted, and might be a long way to go from a legal standpoint. We asked remi spencer earlier on fox friends to debate this, can a mom be charged . You cannot charge a parent for a crime that they have absolutely no role in. Imagine something your child does that youre not aware of. Theres no law on the books that assigns liability to the parents when their parent is bullied, but this case might be the impetus for that. If ever a case called out for it, bullies are not born, they are made. This is not learned behavior. You dont emerge from the womb a bully. Your parents have to neglect to teach you how to be a decent human beings. This is raising eyebrows, yes, i bullied rebecca, and she killed herself, but idgaf, i dont give a you know what that means. And that was after this girls death. Theres obviously Something Like that would write Something Like that on facebook. Obviously. On the other hand, suicide is a very complicated thi ed thing t dont really understand. Theres a mystery at the heart of every suicide and it does seem a little glib for us to assign direct responsibility to this girl for causing somebody elses selfmurder. There are a lot of mean 14yearolds out there. I have three teenagers, anybody who has kids know they are capable of great meanness to each other, but to get the law involved and start making judgments we cant back up with facts, i dont know. Both attorneys i spoke with earlier said, no, theres not a law on the books that would allow this but maybe this case would be an impetus for change in that. It does it does seem like a long way to go, but if the mother, you know, knew about all this going on and had been warned by other parents or teachers and then failed to act, could there be a case made . Is it illegal or terrible parenting . Its clear that its terrible parenting but does it rise to the case of being illegal . Thats another question. You hear about the zero tolerance policies on campus, no one can do anything under this policy and not even common sense can pervade this and for a School District to say, wait a minute, on a case by case basis. Its a smart idea, call a designated driver if youve been drinking, reach out to a friend if youre drunk and you cant get a ride home, thats exantly what happened to a girl at high school. She reached out to her friend who plays on the Volleyball Team. Her friend hadnt been drinking on the Volleyball Team comes to pick up her friend and thats when the police raid the party and the volleyball player who wasnt drinking gets busted and tied up in all this and now shes suspended from the Volleyball Team. Right. Does that make any sense . The police seem to be on the side of this volleyball player who was trying to do the right thing. They said this, this email here, erin did not have the slightest odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person. She was polite, articulate, steady other feet and very remorseful for her decision to go into the residence but was only helping out a friend that had called her for a ride. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. So, is this issue something where zero tolerance has gone too far . Zero tolerance always goes too far. When you hear the term zero tolerance what youll get is authoritarian dumbness, one size fits all solution, something that doesnt take into account individual facts about individual cases. Mandatory minimums and zero tolerance, it will always wind up with crushing people who dont deserve it. We should treat each person as an individual. What would have happened if the volleyball player would have picked up the phone and said, sorry, friend, theres a zero tolerance policy, you dont want to miss out on my school and games and that friend two have driven home and ended up killing herself or others. Police dont want drunk drivers on the road. They fight against it on a regular basis and when they have a volleyball player who says im not drinking, im going to go pick up my friend, thats exactly what you want. Youre teaching people bad behavior, youre teaching them, maybe i shouldnt call my friend, im going to get behind the wheel and may kill someone tonight. Let us know what you think. Next on the rundown, driving straight into a firestorm literally. More of this heartstopping dash cam coming up. A new report out this week finds that food stamps are the Fastest Growing welfare in the United States with more than 47 Million People receiving them this year. Since 2000ed co ethe costs h skyrocketed, have food stamps gotten completely out of control . Joining us is massachusetts state representative shawna oconnell. Thanks a lot for coming on this morning. The government is actively encouraging people, including people who are not poor, like college students, to go on this welfare program. Why would the government, the Obama Administration, want to do that . Well, there is a tremendous and concerted effort to grow this program. And, well, you know, when you make government bigger, and you make more people dependent on the government, you have more power, and its this program right now. But which program is it going to be next is the question . Theyre concentrating on one and theyre going to move to another one. And i want to draw attention for our viewers that they can look at the screen here, 47 Million People receive food stamps this year, costing 78 billion. Now, heres the deal. The idea is that people need to be getting off of food stamps. You teach a man to fish rather than give the man a fish. 56 are eligible for fiveplus years and 17 of the people there are above the poverty line. Now, critics, representative, are saying that the Obama Administration is doing this because it is an effort to buy votes. Well, you know, theres certainly an effort to grow this program and he has gutted all of the requirements and the standards, the work requirement no longer exists. Theres not an asset test for this program. So you could potentially own a Million Dollar home, a boat, and you could get food stamps. The government is encouraging people to beg for food from the taxpayer, i mean, theres something so degrading about that. What is the social cost of this . You know, it takes away your pride and your selfsufficiency, and what it also does is it allows fraud to come into these programs. The s. N. A. P. Program is riddled with fraud. We see people trafficking cards and selling them for money and drugs. We see people with multiple ebt cards, one person, with multiple ebt cards. In massachusetts we had a problem with high balances on ebt cards where people had balances carrying over from month to month to month of 1,500 all the way up to 12,000 on an ebt card. I mean, clearly you dont need that kind of assistance if you are accumulating those kind of balances. Well, representative, i want to ask you, i mean, we understand, we want to be sensitive to this, people fall on hard times. People need food stamps at certain points of their life. Is there ever a good time where recruitment would be necessary . You know, there is we certainly want to make sure that people who need assistance are getting assistance. These are bridge programs. Theyre supplemental programs, but what theyve become is a Lifestyle Program for people and were encouraging people to become more and more dependent on the government and that is not good for our society. Were creating a whole generation of people who just have their hand out and expecting and we saw a lotgo. We are creating a generation of people who have their handout and expect things. We saw this last week when ebt cards went down and people were rampaging through the stores taking everything they could off the shelves because they had no balances on their ebt card and could buy whatever they wanted. Its hard to believe people would do that. Is it a bad idea . What can parents do to protect their kids from this . This had so many of you fired up. Allison, nice to see you this morning. Do you think facebook easing the privacy rules on teens is a bad thing . Facebook said there are a lot of social activists who are 13 years old and demanding to have their voices heard. Do you buy that . This is ridiculous. They want to be seen and they want to do something they are not supposed to do. As parents, weve got enough to worry about. Facebook made it that much harder to protect our kids and monitor what they are doing. We saw this in the case in florida. Now its harder. And we do have a responsibility. What can parents do to make sure their kids are not being bullied. Its no longer ignorance is bliss. Parents wake up. Exactly. I know too many parents saying i dont know instagram or facebook. You need to see what they are doing, you need to monitor and set up house rules. No devices 2 their rooms at night where they could be taking selfies, sending things. Tours will resume seven months after they were suspended because of budget cuts. The tours are back open. Yes, they are. A change from what we heard months ago. Do you remember this . White house canceled the tours confronted by secret service, which we confer with it. The doors are open at 1600 pennsylvania avenue. November 5 they will resume but perhaps only for a limited time. They will be offered three days a week on average. In addition to the tours, the white house will hold its semi annual garden and grounds tour next weekend, the 26th and 27th. The original mark suspension came about after the original spending cuts. The administration pointed the blame to the secret service and its cost concerns. Last night that agency wrote, in light of the new fiscal year, the secret service is confident through the new funding bill we can operate at reduced funding levels while meeting operational requirements. Will the tours continue after the stop gap spending bill expires . Thats on january 15th . We will see. Back to you. January 15th may sound far away, but is not. Congress has not solved this problem. The debt expanding at a rate its almost hard to grasp. The National Debt went up 328 billion in one day this week. Now we had to pay all these bills, boom, we could spend again. 328 billion in one day. We are already seeing the effects of some of this. The dont jumped, there you go on thursday, shattered previous increase of 238 billion two years ago. Debt is above 17 trillion the first time. A new world record. Because its suspended and there isnt a number, how high could this go by february 7th . A lot of Government Watch dog groups are on tire about this one. Now that we hit a new trillion mark at 17 trillion, is this going to make a difference or are we going to be in the same place in just a few months . We would like to hear from you on this one. Email us at fox and friends. The government is doing more than it ever has, a higher percentage of americans are receiving government assistance than ever before in the history of the country. The government is bigger. More expensive. They are trying to run websites. Obama care is front and center and all these issues as it relates to the government. We had sound last night from charles who was on special report with bret baier. He had an interesting take on what should happen with Kathleen Sebelius. Excuse me, the kelly file. This administration which presents itself as the most open in American History which is sort of a joke, refuses to answer the questions. She and other Administration Officials are asked how many people have enrolled. They wont answer that. Either they dont know, in which case this Computer Program is a complete amazon and all the other ecommerce websites can tell you by the minute whats going on. Or the numbers are so low, which is probably the case, that they are too embarrassed to say. A lot of people are having a hard time signing up. There is some evidence this morning that the Obama Administration knew there were going to be problems with this website so much so they made the move a few days before it launch launched a hire to bring extra people on to handle the application process. They spent more developing this website. Spent more than facebook and twitter spends to develop their websites. It still doesnt work. Part of the reason is obama care, they delayed rulings on obama care until after the 2012 president ial election. It still wouldnt fix the core problems of the economics dont make sense. Maybe part of the problem could be zombies . Seems like america is obsessed with zombies and the apocalypse. You stayed up late watching the walking dead. I did yesterday watch it. Here it a look at the walking dead, the premiere. No spoilers here. Manny alvarez puts forth the question this morning, is society headed for ruin because we are obsessed with shows like the walking dead . Are we becoming so desensitized to violence as a result of this . Are we training our kids to become so desensitized to violence . First of all, im an adult. If youre a parent and letting your kids stay up at 10 00 p. M. To watch zombies, youre a bad parent. If your 8yearold is up watching this, there is something wrong with you. Its on at 10 00 at night. I once had a cross bo for sale. A young couple wanted to buy it. When they arrived, the guy asked, will it kill a zombie . My wife can vouch for the story. Does not include whether or not he sold this crossbow to the deranged couple. Its not possible. This series is really about what happens to people when society melts down. The zombies are more of an annoyance. I love the show. For me the zombies represent our elected officials. It may reflect a feeling, this ominous feeling that things are sort of evaporating out from underneath us. People were sort of witch obsessed with charmed and sabrina the teenage witch and with twilight and the vampire diaries. Rick is a fan of walking dead as am i. Any tv show is an alternative reality. Com americans are being forced to sign up for obama care, but our elected officials and staff are getting subsidies for it. Our next guest says washington officials ought to live by the rules they just passed. Senator vitter, you tried to require members of congress and their staff to abide by the same rules as everybody else under obama care. For this, the Senate Majority leader harry reid said you were insane s, quote, not playing with a full deck. I guess that proves going back to your last segment for the record, i work in the land of the zombies which is harry reid u. S. Senate. There is a section in obama care which itself requires this. Its just that it was so unsettling to a lot of people in washington. They got the Obama Administration to issue a special rule to take all of the financial sting out and essentially undo it. My favorite part of this whole story was when members of Congress Found out their staffs would have to abide by the same rules as everybody else, we cant have that because it would be a brain drain. All the smart people will leave if they have to live under the laws they pass. Folks, i live with in louisiana say what brains . The brains that gave us obama care . What about the same thing going on, the same impacts in the rest of america . Lets fix this for america not just for washington. This is part of a theme here. Sure. Passing gun control but keeping your own armed guards. Pushing wind mills, but not in Nantucket Sound because i live there, said ted kennedy. Absolutely. The first rule of american democracy should be that washington lives by the same rules it imposes on america. To put it more simply. The chef should have to eat their own cooking. That is not happening. Something is very, very wrong. That is a basic principle. Did you get a single democrat to support you in this . Not yet. I think we will when we get a vote. The key is getting a vote. Im fighting to get a vote. Thats why harry reid is trying to do everything he can to block a vote every turn of the way. I think the breakthrough will come when we get a vote. Well eventually get one. This is a bipartisan issue. It infuriates people. How can they defend this . What is their rationale . They cant. Thats why they dont want to talk about it that end dont want to vote. They resort to personal attacks, intimidation and they block the vote. Youre right. It is a bipartisan issue. America clearly agrees with the common sense behind this. Unfortunately, its somewhat of a bipartisan issue in washington. A lot of republicans were part of the scheming to get this special illegal obama care rule, but once we get a vote, thats going to start to change. I hope every one is exposed for doing that, too. Senator david vitter of louisiana. Thanks. Turns out your grandmother does know best. We have proof. We are going to share the best advice you ever received. The lack of thorough background checks for obama care navigators has many concerned these are the people who have access to all your kinds of personal financial information. One of these navigators was a ring leader in this. Protesters stormed the home of kansas secretary of state over the secretary of states immigr. So is it possible this person now works for the Obama Administration pushing obama care . Secretary of state joins us now. When did you find out that this navigator is one of these people who showed up at your house with this mob . Just a few days ago. A reporter did digging and compared photos and realized it was the same person. That is unbelievable. Here is a statement from the navigation program. Each navigator goes through a criminal background check completed by a National Company who specialize necessary this. They do not collect or store personal health or financial information. Does that make you rest easy . No because no charges have been filed about this incident that occurred a few months ago on our property. These individuals crossed the line and were trespassing on private property. Theres potential crime of intimidating a public official. They were littering. There are all kinds of things they did they havent been charged with. Talking about someone agitating to press a public official to change his position. Thats something that is not healthy for a republican. It wont show up in a background check. Mob rules is never a good idea. This shouldnt be too surprising a political activist became a navigator since it is an inherently political program. It is disturbing when you think about it. You have agitation for obama care and intimidation of Public Officials who try to stand in the way of this administrations policies, then you have our tax dollars being used to reward these individuals. I think its troubling. Theyve got these navigators up and running quickly here. I dont know how much training they got because they have to educate others about obama care. Do we know where they came from . Do they come from an email list the Obama Administration had ready to go to fire off emails to these individuals and ask them for jobs . Do we know where this came from . I dont know. I find it awfully strange and coincidental that someone who is a Community Organizer protester that is affiliated with left wing causes shows up on a navigator list. This is Sensitive Information these navigators are dealing with. Think of the federal and state laws to protect the privacy of our medical information. Now we have individuals like this helping people saying, hand me that information. Ill help you get involved in obama care. The Obama Administration has taken the model of its 2008 campaign, gin up the grassroots and young people. It seems a system more appealing wouldnt need navigators. Isnt the point to convince young people they ought to spend a lot of money that they havent spent in the past to buy into this program . Thats the objective of obama care. Maybe another thing they could do is get their Computer System working right. Young people have no trouble when an internet site is working well. I dont need this lady to sit next to you while at the computer screen signing up. Maybe they should focus their attention on those activities rather than giving 67 million to socalled navigators. Kansas secretary of state, thanks so much, kris. Such a great point. Want to have the best pumpkin on your block . Of course you do. How about revving up your power tools . The stars are just drilling holes of various sizes, and you get Different Things. I have a friend who does that every year. She is my Martha Stewartish friend. And its just polka dots is what she does with big holes. But i like that moon and stars. Cute. What would do you with the chisels . This is what we use, wood chisels, to carve out the stripes in this pumpkin here. And as you go through and put the holes through the drill again, you have the visual effect at night.
