Tracy . The Philadelphia Police department is mourning one of their own this morning. Katy zachry is live outside the 12th district where the officer worked. Reporter we know officer lamar poole worked for the Philadelphia Police department for nearly two decades. This morning his colleagues here at the 12 district in southwest philadelphia say he loved riding his motorcycle. Thats what he was doing yesterday afternoon. He was off duty at the time of the crash. He was on devereaux street turning on to the roosevelt boulevard. Accident investigators say this silver toyota turned into front of his cmotorcycle, he was thrn from the bike. Fellow officers say he was not wearing a helmet. He did die from severe head trauma. Back in the 12th district, Community Members are having a strong reaction saying these officers locally hold young events for children in the area. These people do their job, a great job.
