A group of 40 members once part of the Cincinnati chapter of Socialist Alternative formed their own organization in June, Cincinnati Socialists.
They weren't happy when the national leaders of Socialist Alternative tried to force them to take back a comrade accused of stealing $1,300 from the local chapter. The alleged thief "showed a "pattern of aggressive and uncomradely behavior," according to a letter signed in June by the 40 members, announcing their intention to leave Socialist Alternative.
